They could have just gone with a full wet setup and completely ignored any chance that part of the race might dry out tomorrow.
The leaders can't afford to take that kind of gamble unless the forecast is 100% certain.
Then again, Williams Racing has nothing left to lose.

Mixed feelings about this much rain. On one hand, the weather always shakes things up and keeps it interesting—but when it’s this heavy? I'm sitting here with a knot in my stomach. Really hoping Lando didn't wreck his elbow, let's go 😍

Btw, I wonder if George Russell can actually make it back in time, since it's such a long race.

It seems Russell always makes a point of going on those glory runs every Saturday, treating them as his personal stage to somehow "prove" himself to everyone watching. Yet, when Sunday rolls around, he consistently fails to deliver. Honestly, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he ends up falling completely out of the points standings.

Kudos to Ricciardo too, even if he’s still a long way from the podium.
Max put in a solid stint, but if the rain hits, someone is going to snatch it from him at Turn 1 on a slick track. To make it through that first corner unscathed, he’s going to need a perfect start. Honestly, I wouldn't bank entirely on Russell either; he tends to dance right on the edge between a masterclass and a total disaster.

I feel for Norris, though I’m not particularly bothered by this starting order.
There’s plenty of room for overtaking, and since we're expecting unpredictable conditions tomorrow, anything could happen.
