But let’s be clear: Lewis’s father worked two or three different jobs just to make sure he could afford to get him on the track.

The weather is just terrible right now; there's absolutely no way anyone is getting out on the track in this.

The Schumacher family actually ran a restaurant right at the karting track in Indianapolis, which basically gave their kids unlimited track time whenever they felt like it.

Michael owned the place back in 2001 when I visited—not sure if he still does, but I think he might. The local town even renamed a street after him, Michael Schumacher Street.

Not to mention he was pulling in pounds based on US Standard rates; one single paycheck of his was easily worth four times what you'd see here in America.

Why not just push the race back to tomorrow if the weather is going to be better?

Nah, the race would have to be 20 laps shorter because of fuel weight anyway
