My post about COVID-19 was deleted, and I actually got a strike on my account for "violating thread rules."

Can someone please clarify exactly which rule I broke with this post?

I think the image was way too big at 831x1249; this forum works best with an 800x600 resolution. 🤔

This thread is intended for memes and perhaps some brief commentary, not for starting debates.

Well, it is because your post isn't merely a single meme; rather, it encompasses an entire discussion. If you simply repost the meme by itself, it won't be deleted. Generally speaking, we don't issue bans very often, though we do find ourselves deleting content quite frequently; besides, once a post is flagged for a violation, there is a very slim chance it will remain standing. It is simply a healthier approach for the integrity of the entire subreddit.
