Appeal for moderator clarification

Since this is actually the second time I’ve found myself totally lost as to what I supposedly did wrong—and in both instances, the Reddit moderator took some pretty heavy-handed action against posts that felt fairly harmless and standard to me (we're talking everything from a multi-week ban to having my content just wiped out)—I was hoping someone could maybe provide a bit of clarity here.

Is it essentially forbidden to:

a) violate the actual rules of the forum
b) simply disagree with the perspective or opinion of a moderator who happens to be part of the discussion (for instance, a Reddit moderator)
c) exist in a way where a moderator (like a Reddit moderator) finds my take unappeable or just plain boring

PS: In both of these situations, we were talking about massive, sprawling threads with hundreds of replies, and I was just weighing in with a few brief sentences. I honestly can't wrap my head around what went wrong, or specifically which rule I supposedly broke.

Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer. I'm really just hoping this helps me get a better handle on how I should be phrasing things so I don't end up clashing with what the moderators want from us.

I’d bet anything this was just some totally standard post about women that a Reddit moderator—given their reputation for hating men and fighting against gender equality—decided to delete or flag for no damn reason at all.

Honestly, if they put logic in pill form, it wouldn't sell worth a damn. The anti-vaxxers would sniff out the attempt to make them smarter in a heartbeat, and they'd just kick off another century-long crusade against pills and their fundamental right to be idiots.
