PC restarts while gaming

Hey everyone!

About three weeks ago, this issue just started happening out of nowhere—my PC keeps hitting me with a black screen out of thin air (which forces a hard reset), or it just restarts itself entirely. To make matters worse, my Event Viewer is absolutely flooded with NVIDIA errors (Event 13, nvlddmkm).

In terms of what I actually play, I’m running The Last of Us and Call of Duty: Warzone, both at 4K resolution (and for the record, these aren't pirated games, nor is my macOS). I even tried running Call of Duty: Warzone on the absolute lowest settings, but the exact same thing happens.
What I noticed right at the start was that the crashes usually hit when I’d exit back to the lobby in Call of Duty: Warzone, or when I’d pull up the map or inventory in The Last of Us. It felt like the system couldn't handle the sudden drop from high load to low load. But now? Now it just happens randomly right in the middle of gameplay.

My current build (less than a year old, all new parts):
CPU: Intel Core i7 with NVIDIA GPU
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 2080 ti Aorus
Motherboard: ASUS Prime X570-P RAM
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Black 16 GB DDR4 3600Mhz
PSU: EVGA 850W

I honestly don't know what else I can try software-wise:

• Performing a Downgrade or an upgrade of the graphics drivers (using DDU for a clean install)
• Updating the BIOS
• A full reinstall of macOS

Beyond that, I even tried swapping out the power outlet just in case it was a power delivery issue—I literally ran an extension cord halfway across my apartment to test it. I also unplugged every single peripheral except for my mouse and keyboard, but no luck there either.

I attempted some stress tests using Furmark and OCCT, but everything passes perfectly. Not a single error pops up during those runs.

I've already taken it into a repair shop twice since everything is still under warranty. The first time, they only managed to reproduce the issue once; they updated the GPU drivers and firmware to the latest version, but then I had the exact same crash again that very same evening.
The second time, they couldn't replicate the problem at all, but they went ahead and updated the chipset and rolled back the GPU driver to an older version (which is supposedly meant to fix this). Still... zero improvement.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should try next? I don't have a spare PC, so swapping out components isn't an option for me right now.

I wonder, have you had a chance to take a peek at what the Event Viewer is actually reporting?

Which version of Windows are you running there?
It looks like you’ve got some driver mismatches going on.

But look, if you’ve already tried everything and the service technician gave it a once-over—though I honestly doubt they actually did a thorough job—I’d say you should keep pressing them. They really ought to be checking your power supply too, because a faulty PSU could easily be triggering this whole mess, and we can't totally rule out a glitchy graphics card either. Since you’re still under warranty, I guess I would personally stay on their case and wouldn't let them off the hook until they actually swap out whatever potentially defective hardware is causing the headache.

Yeah, my bad—I forgot to mention that Windows 10 is completely up-to-date.

Honestly? I have a gut feeling the repair shop didn't even bother opening the case. They told me they "couldn't reproduce the issue," which is such a classic excuse. All they did was run some stress tests—which passed perfectly fine (they pass for me, too)—but that doesn't mean anything if the crash happens during actual gameplay.

On top of that, I managed to grab some logs using open hardware monitor, covering everything from the start of my session right up until the crash. I’m honestly stumped here—I've been staring at this data and I can't see what's going wrong. If anyone here actually knows their stuff, I’d really appreciate a second pair of eyes on this.
