HP LaserJet Pro - Printer fuser issues

I’m starting a new thread here because I haven't been able to find any answers online, nor can I track down that specific replacement part on eBay... I recently picked up an HP LaserJet Pro small black-and-white laser printer from my dad, but it keeps throwing an ERROR Fuser Unit Failure #U1-2320. It tells me to turn it off and back on, and while doing that—sometimes it takes a second or even a third try—the printer eventually kicks in and starts printing. Does anyone know what's actually going on? If I've got this right, it's some kind of heating element that warms up and presses the toner onto the paper, isn't it? 🤔

Honestly, this kind of thing happens with basically any laser printer. The fuser unit just can't hit its target temperature for some reason—maybe there’s a glitch in the electronics or something. You might get lucky if you power it on and off a few times, just hoping it finally
catches.
Some printer models are just nightmares to work on. Trying to track down specific spare parts is a total headache

My advice? Just look for a used laser printer on eBay instead. Find one where the toner isn't going to break the bank
