Perez had a hell of a recovery drive, and what an absolute rollercoaster of a race for Norris.

This race settled any lingering doubts about who the best driver on the grid actually is.

Lewis Hamilton wins the Daytona 500! 👋👋👋🙏 🙏😍

Good comment. Just more proof of how conservative Mercedes played it during this race.

At worst, he'd walk away with second place. It’s not like Lewis is going to drop dead on the track and leave a vacuum, right?

The second he mentioned his tires were shot, I knew he was cruising toward victory right then and there.

If you ask me, when you're in the middle of a tight duel like that, they shouldn't be handing out penalties for going off track. Honestly, he didn't have any other choice—he had to slam on the brakes to avoid a disaster.

Regardless, it was a class move by them to let him through.

Driver of the race? It’s gotta be Perez. No question about it. After that absolute disaster in qualifying where he fell straight to the back, his finish was just more of the same old story we've been seeing lately.

So Lewis says "keep your distance," meanwhile he's over there getting all cozy with some blonde girl

Stuck in an inferior car with worn-out tires against the hyped-up Verstappen !!!!!!

wow !!!!!!!

Max doesn't realize who he's actually up against—Lewis is a total phenomenon. We should just enjoy watching him while he's still behind the wheel. Just look at what happened to Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso. That said, credit where it's due to Max—I'm definitely looking forward to their head-to-head battles. And, of course, hoping for Lewis's 8th title.

If you can judge a season by how it starts, we are in for a brutal ride this year.

Hopefully, Perez steps up his game in qualifying for the next race; that would really help Max out. Today he was basically running solo, whereas Bottas ended up giving Lewis a massive hand at the finish.
