Hey there,
So, two days ago, this pink horizontal line just popped up right across the middle of my HP ProBook screen. I tried plugging the laptop into my TV via HDMI to see if it was a software glitch, but the TV looks perfectly fine—no pink line at all. It’s definitely stuck on the laptop display itself. Any ideas on what might be causing this or how I can fix it? Appreciate any help you guys can throw my way... thanks, LP

It sounds like the laptop screen itself is shot. If that line is really bugging you, your best bet is to just swap out the display panel, because honestly, there isn't really any other way to fix it.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was thinking, but since I don't really know my way around hardware, I figured it was better to ask first. And yeah, the flickering is super annoying, though sometimes if I just give it a light tap, it disappears for a bit... LP
