Banned by the mods for discussing the US elections

I’m officially throwing a fit about the last two warnings I picked up for just messing around in that US election thread.

One came from lonebadger6 and the other was from Chloe Campbell95.

In my humble opinion, they were both totally overkill.
The one from lonebadger6 was basically for just being a smartass, and the other one was because I had to defend myself against some random accusation that I’m some kind of anti-Biden plant just because Biden called out those specific atrocities overseas.
And now, naturally, they're still obsessing over me in the actual thread, which—surprise, surprise—isn't technically breaking any forum rules.

P.s.
I’m actually doubling down on this appeal since I just realized my title doesn't strictly follow the official guidelines for filing a formal grievance with the moderation board.

If you ask me, a fair amount of trolling has been scrubbed from this thread without even getting a warning, yet here you are, still refusing to back down...
Plus, amidst this whole heated debate about American Dreamers—kids brought here who haven't actually broken any laws, because they physically couldn't have—you’re practically accusing them of being arms smugglers. It’s nothing more than pure trolling. You earned yourself 25 points, not 500.

My colleague can explain her side if she feels the need to...

My bad, I think you totally misread what I was getting at here.
I wasn't out here claiming that kids or some starry-eyed dreamers are smuggling weapons into the States; I was actually reacting to that post about how Americans are smuggling guns down into Mexico—which, let’s be honest, nobody ever really talks about. I was just being a little sarcastic when I said Trump’s wall actually did Mexico a favor, since now it's even harder for those American smugglers to move their stuff across.

As for those other posts you say were deleted, I can certainly weigh in on that if you'd just tell me which ones specifically you're talking about.

You mentioned "dreamers," but since nobody was actually talking about them at that moment, I doubt it was just a slip of the tongue...

That was pretty sloppy of me because if my memory serves, I'm pretty sure I actually said 'American dreamers'

But since I can't find the original post, would you mind just c/p it here? If I actually left out the word 'American,' then yeah, that’s on me and I get why I got flagged. Though, honestly, anyone reading the context of the post I was replying to should have realized I was talking about those guys smuggling weapons across the Mexican border

Regarding that post of yours—the one I had to strip away because it was pure trolling and completely off-topic, serving no purpose other than trying to drag out endless arguments with other users—well, from my perspective, that is just textbook trolling. Honestly, if you have any doubts, the other moderators and supermods can review the deleted content themselves and decide if they agree with my assessment. Let's keep things civil!

So how is this off-topic when the post I’m actually replying to is clearly part of the thread?
And what about my colleague and those other folks calling me some kind of extremist who supports massacres? Does that somehow have anything to do with the actual topic at hand?

People around here are constantly being told to watch their tone and articulate their grievances decently. Does that rule apply to the moderators too? Because if they can't even explain their own reasoning, then what’s the point of having this guy around in the first place?

We’re constantly reminded here to express our grievances politely and clearly, aren't we? Well, shouldn't that standard apply to how moderators justify their decisions too? If they can't actually explain their reasoning, then what's even the point of having this authority figure around in the first place?

That colleague of yours actually received a heavy penalty from me for personal insults, which carries a much higher weight than what you're dealing with (insulting other users is a 45-point deduction, whereas trolling is only 25). Her post was wiped out as well, because that kind of toxic behavior simply won't be tolerated in any discussion thread or on the community boards.

As for you, like I mentioned before, your ban was triggered by the sheer accumulation of points—if you hadn't racked up so many infractions previously, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.

Look, I totally get it—I basically walked straight into a trap by letting things pile up like that
