The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted George Floyd’s autopsy on May 26, 2020. The full report from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is still pending, but they have released these preliminary findings. The autopsy didn't show any physical evidence supporting a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation. Floyd had a medical history of coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease. It looks like the combined effects of restraint by police, his existing health issues, and potentially any substances in his system likely played a role in his death.

The autopsy results show that Floyd didn't die from suffocation or a lack of oxygen.

You have received an infraction on Reddit.

Reason: excessive trolling

This infraction is worth 100 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.

Original Post:

The moderators, citing the policy for reporting autopsy findings, gave me a one-day ban for "excessive trolling" and permanently deleted and hid my post.

I'm asking for my one-day ban to be lifted and for those 100 infraction points—which don't expire until June 29th—to be removed. This clearly wasn't "trolling"; I was just sharing breaking news regarding current events happening in the US.

I also request that my deleted post be restored, as it doesn't violate any of the site's rules.

Thanks!

The report further explains that while the initial autopsy showed no physical signs of asphyxiation, it noted that Floyd had a medical history of coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease. The autopsy concludes that the combined effects of restraint by police, along with his existing health issues and any potential substances in his system, contributed to his death.

Meanwhile, CNN has already picked up the story.

So, please go ahead and lift my ban and those penalty points, because this clearly isn't just some case of "trolling."

You didn't get banned because of that link to the autopsy report, it was actually because of this:

1. You were playing games with the facts and twisting the interpretation... not only to ignore the parts of the report that didn't fit your narrative, but to downplay or justify the kind of sick police brutality that rightfully leads to murder charges.

Actually, you weren't even given a ban at first—even though you deserved one much harsher than what you eventually got—your post was just deleted, which then led to:

2. Attempting to repost deleted content (violating rules)

3. Commenting on the moderation team (violating rules)

Request denied. Best.

1. Manipulating the data and spinning an interpretation that doesn't just ignore the facts in that report, but actually tries to downplay or justify sick instances of police brutality—the kind that rightfully leads to murder charges.

Regardless, you didn't get a warning at first (even though you deserved one way harsher than the one you eventually got); your post was simply deleted, which led to:

2. Attempting to recover a deleted post (rule violation)

3. Commenting on moderation (rule violation)

Request denied. Best regards.

1. There was zero manipulation involved. I cited my source clearly and stated the conclusion that this wasn't a case of suffocation. That isn't me making excuses for brutality; it’s just relaying the specific circumstances of the event.

I provided the source—a PDF released by the county court—so anyone could read the official complaint filed against the officer.

*If I were playing devil's advocate and defending the police side, would that be forbidden here? Is only one perspective allowed?

2. Fair enough, I did break that rule. My post was wiped without any explanation even though it didn't violate any forum rules, making it feel like straight-up censorship.

3. I merely asked for clarification regarding why my message was removed; that shouldn't count as "commenting on moderation."

____

The exact same thing happened back in February during the discussions about the coronavirus. My post was deleted along with a link to a study from the Lancet, which clearly showed from the curve trajectory that the virus would spread through America faster than it did in China. Three months later, we can see the Lancet forecast was spot on.

Back in February, posts containing links to studies from institutes in the US, the UK, and Germany were also deleted. Those studies predicted the implementation of long-term stay-at-home orders and quarantines lasting up to six months, or periodic lockdowns over the next two years. And just like that, it all came true...

I am requesting a different moderator to review my case. It doesn't seem fair to have my ban reviewed by the same moderator who handed it to me in total disregard of the forum rules.

Your case study:

The autopsy report claims he didn't die from suffocation. Instead, it points to a medical history of coronary artery disease and hypertensive heart disease, along with drug use, as the actual cause of death.

Actual information (from your link):

Floyd's autopsy did not "support a diagnosis of traumatic strangulation or asphyxiation," but noted that his underlying health conditions, the combined effects of restraint by police and any potential intoxicants in his system all "likely contributed to his death.

And despite all the video footage, the outrage from pretty much everyone in America, and the murder charges being brought forward, your take on what happened is...

That the police pinned him to the ground because they were worried his drugs would trigger excited delirium.

There really isn't even anything to talk about here...

Officer Lan expresses his concern, saying, "I'm concerned about his agitation, delirium, or whatever it is," and Derek Chauvin responds, "That's why we're holding him down on his stomach."

I'm not just interpreting things here—this is straight from the indictment and the official report! :)

You're accusing me of manipulating the content, but I was really just trying to highlight the actual text...

About ten hours after my first message was deleted—for whatever reason—I posted a second one using the exact same quote along with a quick comment...

The autopsy findings showed that Floyd did not die from asphyxiation or a lack of oxygen.

...so I asked why the first post was removed. I guess I technically broke a rule because I shouldn't have reposted something that was deleted... but honestly, I just didn't understand why it vanished in the first place since I can't see it anymore.

You’ve padded the text and conveniently left out the part where the autopsy highlights how the police intervention actually caused the death.

It’s a bit much, manipulating such heavy and ugly subject matter...

By the way, if you want a message deleted, just hit me up via DM; we always respond to polite requests.

Mind you, I see my own mistake here—you didn't fix that first sentence in the second post, and since it was so obvious from the tone of the first one, I suppose half a day is a fair amount of time. I think the strike should stay, but I'll ask the head moderator to shorten your ban...
