I caught them live maybe two or three times last year, and honestly, it wasn't anything special... there are plenty of bands out there that actually sound much better when they hit the stage.

Honestly, my hype for Red Hot Chili Peppers just totally tanked after seeing them live—I actually told myself I’d only go see them one more time if they ever hit my city, and that was strictly because of John

Back when I was a huge fan—judging by all those live sets I watched online—there was always something about their live energy that just didn't sit right with me. Not quite hitting the mark, you know? But then again, maybe I'm overthinking it and the actual show won't be such a letdown, but what if it is... 👎

Vojko V is alright—I actually thought Bulletproof Gun was even better—but I gotta say, most of these new rappers burn through their material way too fast the second some new trend or gimmick hits.

When it comes to the American hip-hop scene, I wouldn't bet a single dime on anything the Chicago Transit Authority's L train has going for it compared to some of those legendary full discographies.

The issue is their sound—especially the slower tracks—just isn't built for stadiums or massive outdoor festivals.

I still listen to quite a few bands I discovered years ago, but I have to single out (sadly) Type 0 Negative. They were incredible. I actually saw them live, and I'm just so glad I got that chance while Peter was still around. Honestly, I don't listen to them much anymore—not because they’ve become boring, per se, but because I just don't have the desire to tap into that specific vibe of theirs (let's call it dark, cynical nihilism) when we all carry a little bit of that in our daily lives anyway (it feels a bit less romantic once you 😬grow up a little
). Plus, without the frontman—the mastermind behind the whole concept—everything just leaves me with this heavy, nostalgic ache. Their sound already carries that melancholy, and losing him makes it hit harder since I loved them so much

As for a band that *has* actually grown old to me—similar to my relationship with T-Mobile where I used to listen actively and see them live—I’d say Metallica. Maybe they don't strictly fit this category yet, though. I still find myself reaching for their older stuff every now and then (like Full Moon Madness, Nocturna 😍😍), but I haven't really followed them closely since >. Part of it was probably just that phase where I took a bit of a break from metal in general
. Still, every once in a while, I really crave them. Especially during the summer; they have this perfect warm, late-night atmosphere 🙂
