Probably "The Year of Living Dangerously"...

Karen Ortiz said:...Last year I watched "Eyewitness" (1981) and "The Year of Living Dangerously" (1982). Despite the cast, both films were way too intense for me; I barely made it through. And her role in "TYOFD" wasn't anything special either...

Paul Schrader’s Next Film Is ‘Master Gardener,’ Starring Sigourney Weaver — First Details>

Paul Schrader is world premiering his latest directorial effort, “The Card Counter,” in competition at the Venice Film Festival this week, but he’s already eyeing his next project. As first reported by Deadline, Schrader has set 'Master Gardener' as his 'Card Counter' follow-up. The 'First Reformed' Oscar nominee has set Joel Edgerton and Sigourney Weaver to star in the movie.

per an official release, 'Master Gardener' follows “a meticulous horticulturist (Joel Edgerton) who is devoted to tending the grounds of a beautiful estate and pandering to his employer, the wealthy dowager (Sigourney Weaver). When she demands that he take on her wayward and troubled great niece, it unlocks dark secrets from a buried violent past.”

Principal photography is scheduled to begin early next year in the Southern United States.

Sigourney Weaver and Joel Edgerton have actually worked together before in "Exodus: Gods and Kings" (Tuya / Ramesses II).

I watched this a while back. The premise is actually pretty interesting, but the movie drags way too much. It gets boring at times, and honestly, Joanna was just exhausting—I never really found myself rooting for her character at all. Sigourney Weaver is, as usual, absolutely stellar. Her character feels like a total mashup of Katharina Parker from Working Girl and Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada.

Just caught "The Good House" at AMC Theatres. Honestly, I dug the movie, and the character Hildy Good and her whole arc really worked for me. 🙂 Sigourney Weaver was masterful, obviously, as per usual. 🙂

AMC runs "The Good House" every now and then, and HBO does the same with "Call Jane." You can also find both of them sitting in their video libraries.

Who would bother showing up when they’ve completely trashed the franchise with the latest installment—or rather, the last two, which were nothing short of absolute garbage. 🤣

I was reading somewhere that the role of Ripley was originally offered to Meryl Streep, who actually used to room with Sigourney at that time. Honestly? I don't think Maryl has that powerhouse, swimmer's physique that Sigourney Weaver brings to the table. To me, Sigourney is the ultimate female badass, and I just can't wrap my head around seeing Streep in those kinds of roles—no matter how much talent she has.

As for Harrison Ford, he was offered the part of Dallas, which ended up being played by Tom Scerrit. Personally, I could see Ford in that role perfectly.
