Following the massive success of the Resident Evil franchise, the power couple Jovovich and Anderson are reuniting to bring us a film based on the hit video game of the same name.
Capcom company, Impact Pictures, and Constantin Film are all aiming to make this movie the launchpad for a brand new franchise, following in the footsteps of Resident Evil.

The film was shot in and around Cape Town.

The movie’s probably gonna be total garbage, but let’s be real—it'll still pull in six times its budget.

The movie kicks off with a sailboat gliding over sand dunes, then suddenly, Diablo lunges into an attack, the fight ignites, and the score begins to swell— pure electronic energy!!!!!!
I honestly can't tell what kind of substances the crew Anderson is assembling is on, but at his age, he really ought to settle down and start producing legitimate sci-fi cinema instead of just playing pretend whenever he hears some synth-heavy tracks.

It’s been a long time since I’ve sat through something this bad.

This movie is a total disaster, but Scarlett Johansson is still stunning.

Total loss. Even Ron Perlman is absolutely terrible here.

A video game where you hunt monsters.
Once you take one down, you just move straight to the next level where an even bigger beast jumps out at you.

I mean, I honestly feel like they just ran out of passion—it’s all about the money now—so they’re churning out this absolute garbage. This is basically a straight-to-streaming flop, but even the actors have lost their way; they're just burning through cash and, I guess, they've really lowered their standards regarding which projects they actually sign onto.
I mean, you guys have to have seen that jiu jitsu movie with Cage. Ha ha ah

I watched it. Honestly, I wish I hadn't. Are the special effects even worth mentioning? Not really.

Ron Perlman might actually be the worst part of this movie. His acting is so wooden it’s physically painful to watch. And don't even get me started on that crew on the ship—just a bunch of random characters who died for no reason. I haven't played the games, so were they actually important or something? It felt like they just threw them into the script without any real introduction to who they are or what they do.

A John Carter rip-off...

John Carter is a masterpiece of cinema. It actually has a plot, developed characters, and great effects. Monster Hunter doesn't have any of those things.

John Carter is totally underrated.

Started off pretty strong for the first hour—felt great!—but then I totally hit a wall later on... ended up with a pretty mid performance overall
