How to set up The Great Flood torrent client?

So, I recently made the jump over to Windows 10, and I’m hitting a bit of a wall—I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get all my torrents to actually start downloading in The Great Flood instead of just sitting there stuck on "Waitlisted." I’ve spent way too much time digging through random tutorials online, but nothing seems to stick... So, I figured I’d check in here to see if anyone else in the States is dealing with similar bandwidth quirks, especially since our home internet setups can be such a headache. I'm currently running on a standard Xfinity combo plan.
