Mark Cruz15 said:Yes, practicing medicine without a license is strictly illegal. But I wonder, what exactly do we call it when someone with zero medical training starts handing out unsolicited advice about life-threatening illnesses?
Don't you worry about a thing, my fellow forum brothers.
I have to say, I feel like I have a pretty solid grasp on the legalities of this whole situation. I’ve spent quite a bit of time looking into the specifics, and I suppose I'm reasonably confident in my understanding of how the law actually functions here in the States. And, when there’s something I truly don't know, I happen to have a very, very, very close connection working within the judicial system, so I can usually get the most accurate information and everything else I might need directly from the source. 😉
As far as the questions are concerned... I suppose neither you, nor I, nor anyone else on this forum can truly claim to know—nor should we really be concerned with prying into anyone's private business—who among us might actually hold a medical degree (or any other credential, for that matter, which is arguably just as trivial).
Regarding this thread......unless, of course, you happen to know them personally.
I suppose I’m just a bit stumped by one thing: what happens if someone on this forum actually holds a medical degree, or perhaps some other specialized professional credential? I honestly can't quite wrap my head around how that would even work here.
I’m struggling to see how any of this actually relates to the original thread, which was started specifically because someone was being disrespectful toward one of our female members. I guess I'm just wondering what the connection is here.?
Does one actually need a medical degree for this kind of behavior? Or perhaps it takes three separate university degrees just to prove that someone is pathologically committed to being insulting? 🤦
Furthermore, I honestly can't quite wrap my head around who exactly you're implying was handing things out to people. I'm really not sure who you're referring to with these accusations.
"Medical advice." Regarding the matter at hand.
"Fatal illnesses"? That’s a heavy way to put it, isn't it? I suppose it depends on how you're looking at things, but it certainly carries a certain weight when you say it out loud. It feels a bit more clinical and final than just saying someone is "critically ill." Maybe that's the point, though—to emphasize the gravity of the situation. I guess it's one of those terms where the nuance really matters depending on the context. I have to say, I haven't encountered anything quite like that in any of the discussion threads I frequent. It’s certainly a first for me.
But, if you happen to have links handy, and if you’re under the impression that they might actually violate the forum rules... I honestly don't quite follow—if this is bothering you quite this much, why don't you just start your own thread over on the main forum? You could just attach a bunch of links as proof and let everyone see for themselves.
Finally. Will you actually manage to solve that massive headache? 🤷
To wrap things up, I have one final on-topic question for you: Do you really think it's acceptable to insult a female member of this forum, regardless of the circumstances? It seems we’ve drifted into the territory of insults. I suppose it was somewhat inevitable given the direction this conversation has taken, though I must admit I find it all rather tedious. There is a certain lack of grace in how people are choosing to address one another lately; it feels less like a debate and more like a series of cheap shots. Personally, I’ve always felt that if you can’t make a point without resorting to personal slights, you’ve probably already lost the argument. It’s just a bit undignified, don't you think? Maybe I'm being too old-fashioned, but I'd much prefer we stick to the actual topics at hand instead of this downward spiral. I suppose one could argue that this stands as one of the most egregious violations imaginable. Forum Rules I suppose it’s only fair to lay out the ground rules before we get too deep into the discussions. To ensure this remains a space where people can actually engage without everything devolving into chaos, I think we should all agree to follow a few basic principles. It isn't about being overly restrictive—far from it—but rather about maintaining a certain level of decorum that makes the community worth being a part of. First and foremost, let's try to keep things civil. We don't have to agree on everything—in fact, healthy disagreement is probably what keeps things interesting—but there is a line between a spirited debate and simple hostility. Personal attacks, harassment, or any kind of targeted vitriol toward other members won't be tolerated here. I imagine we’d all prefer a space where we can disagree without feeling like we need to duck for cover. Regarding content, please try to keep posts relevant to the topics at hand. While it might be tempting to veer off into endless tangents, staying somewhat focused helps everyone find the information or conversation they came here for. If you're starting a new thread, try to pick a title that actually reflects what you're talking about; it saves a lot of confusion down the road. Spamming and self-promotion are also big no-nos. We aren't here to be a billboard for various products or services, and flooding the boards with repetitive nonsense just clutters up the experience for everyone else. Lastly, I'd ask that you respect the privacy of our members. What happens in the threads stays in the threads. Building a community requires a baseline of trust, and I think we all benefit when we feel secure in our interactions. I guess if we can all stick to these general guidelines, we should be able to maintain a high-quality environment for discussion. Let's keep it smart, keep it respectful, and most importantly, keep it interesting. Could you take a look at point number three? I'd really appreciate your thoughts on that specific part.Kimberly Ward said:To isn't actually about Mark Cruz15; it’s about Arthur Smith15. And I should clarify—this isn't some kind of joke. It seems to me that this is nothing more than a targeted attempt to insult another member, coupled with some pretty blatant slander. Since there doesn't seem to be anyone actually moderating this forum, I suppose we're all just left to our own devices. If this had happened on any other subforum, they probably would have been sanctioned immediately for the insults.Well, since the moderators aren't weighing in on this, I suppose it doesn't really matter what any of us think.
It’s only a matter of time before it all comes to light. I suspect it will eventually manifest itself, quite clearly, if you know where to look. I honestly can't help but notice certain individuals who seem to make it their personal mission to throw insults into almost every single thread they touch. It’s becoming a bit of a pattern, isn't it?
If they keep up this aggressive, insulting tone, I suspect the administrators will eventually step in and shut the whole thread down. Regarding those forum members whose insults actually prompted you to start this thread—
It seems to me that Arthur Smith15 hasn't contributed a single constructive post to the Alternative subforum. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that almost every single one of his entries is either outright insulting or relies entirely on ad hominem attacks rather than actual logic.Just a few quick snippets from Al Dent's recent forum essays... I’ve been sharing my thoughts across the entire Alternative subforum, touching on pretty much every single thread:Arthur Smith15 said:The accusation is completely baseless because (1) this "Al Dent" person doesn't even exist. Perhaps, in your limited literacy, you've confused him with me?
Arthur Smith15 said:You’re spewing anti-vax nonsense, which I suppose makes you worthy of every bit of criticism coming your way.
Arthur Smith15 said:
The charge is invalid since (2) neither "Al Dent" nor I ever actually wrote "you are impersonating someone."
Aside from being somewhat illiterate, you seem to have quite a bit of trouble actually comprehending what's been written.
Arthur Smith15 said:Once again, you've outed yourself as some sort of shadowy reptilian agent on this forum. Or perhaps you're just a manic paranoid with an uncontrollable urge to type...
Arthur Smith15 said:You aren't doing too well, lady; honestly, now I'm getting worried. Did you take something this morning?
Arthur Smith15 said:Listen, don't bother stressing yourself out over having "over a billion neurons"; leave that to your fiancé and focus on looking after your patients instead. I certainly hope you didn't show up to work in ripped pants again today...
Arthur Smith15 said:Sister Veronica, is that really you?
Arthur Smith15 said:Were you being untruthful when you told those cameras you graduated from nursing school in Chicago?
Arthur Smith15 said:Silvek, before you integrate, try tightening your gear so all the blood rushes straight to your brain.
Arthur Smith15 said:The fact that you—an uneducated alternative type—think one actually needs to "verify" things just to notice your own literacy issues... goodness me...
Anyway, the next time I catch you lecturing someone on grammar or linguistics, I’ll be sure to point out once again that you're nothing more than a semi-literate fool, an ignoramus, and a hypocrite; it really doesn't take much effort at all😁
Arthur Smith15 said:If this is coming from Ethan Barrett22, a guy known as total trash and a hack who tells sick people that medicine is a scam and that cancer can be cured with bone marrow, then it's hardly a compliment
Arthur Smith15 said:It’s all for nothing, really. You went through all that trouble painting everything, but I suspect you didn't earn any extra credit from the Almighty for your efforts. Go ahead and be exactly who you are: an aggressive provocateur and a total charlatan.
Arthur Smith15 said:It seems you aren't feeling any remorse at all— You were a piece of work then, and frankly, you haven't changed much since.
Arthur Smith15 said:Look, Look, you might have a history of sitting on a therapist's couch, but I think there's a massive difference between being a patient and actually being a professional. Just because you've navigated your own mental health struggles doesn't mean you've suddenly earned the right to call yourself an expert. Experience is one thing, but expertise is quite another entirely. 😁 I suppose you’re suggesting that I’m some sort of uneducated, short-sighted individual who barely scraped through a couple of years of high school, yet somehow carries himself with the misplaced confidence of a scholar. It's an interesting assessment, I guess, though perhaps a bit more dramatic than necessary.
Arthur Smith15 said:I suppose if you’re looking to label me, you might settle on calling me a forum liar, a mental patient, a paranoid conspiracy theorist, or an ultra-rightist. I guess that's one way to look at it, though I suspect the reality is far more nuanced than such blunt categorizations suggest.
Arthur Smith15 said:I honestly think you’re being incredibly dim-witted here. 😁
Arthur Smith15 said:Oh, come now, how could you possibly think otherwise? It seems like on this forum, you’ll always run into the uneducated and the conspiracy theorists—people like yourself—who just can't stop constantly quoting Darwin.
Arthur Smith15 said:You aren't "pointing out" anything, you absolute dimwit, and frankly, your ability to express yourself is just tragic. It’s almost funny, how people with such fractured psyches can make an obvious mistake and still double down, arguing away with zero logic and even less dignity...
Arthur Smith15 said:You really are a pathetic sight. I wonder how your God views you making up someone else's heritage? Do you honestly think He rewards lying?
Arthur Smith15 said:... Ethan Barrett22 writes, in all his foolishness, convinced he's actually insulting others 😁
Arthur Smith15 said:Such a pompous little lecture from a self-proclaimed guru, only to stumble over basic grammar in the very sentence where he tries to act smart. 😁When dealing with non-living things, it isn't "whom," it's "which," you complete idiot...
Arthur Smith15 said:stormyrider28, go ahead and defend the boss— he’s been an idiot yet again, but I’m sure you’ll dig up some excuse for him.
Arthur Smith15 said:Aren't you worried that all this constant squeezing and overheating your junk goes through in those tight leggings might actually lead to impotence or infertility? I mean, if that happens, it’ll make all that effort you spend protecting your pride and joy from bulldogs and other pushy dogs completely pointless.
Arthur Smith15 said:Has things taken a turn for the worse? I suppose I have to wonder—did you decide to skip your medication?
Administration... honestly, is there anything else you need from me? 🙂
