Look,

It’s pretty straightforward. Once Red Bull hits their breaking point with Honda and everything goes south, they’ll probably just sell the team to Aston Martin. Then they can pivot to WEC or maybe Formula E / Extreme E. I mean, Red Bull already sponsors rally programs, so why not? It would be easy free marketing for their green image, right? mmm.

And Vettel... once he develops a more intense thousand-yard stare than Fernando Alonso, he’ll end up driving all those weird niche cars he’s actually good at. He might even jump into Extreme E just to relive those old Red Bull glory days.

As for Alonso, he has to be the center of attention in every single conversation. He’ll try anything that moves. Honestly, I was reading that paparazzi caught him hanging around near NASA. At this rate, he’s going to become the first F1 driver in space.

It’s simple, really. Once Red Bull gets fed up with Honda and everything goes south, they'll just sell the team to Aston Martin and pivot toward WEC or Formula E/Extreme E—I mean, Red Bull already sponsors rally programs, so why not this? It’s basically free green marketing for them, right? mmm...

Nah, they’re staying in F1. There’s nowhere else you can get the kind of marketing exposure you get from F1. Just think about how badly they wanted in, and how nobody would even sell them a team at first. They finally made it, built themselves up, grabbed their titles, and now they're gonna just walk away? Unlikely. And Honda will figure things out eventually—it's just a matter of time...

As for whether Red Bull actually cares about this electric stuff... https://autorepublika.com/2019/01/22...-za-formulu-e/

You can't really trust everything you hear from media PR departments. Right now, they just don't seem to have much interest in electric racing, but if you ask me, it would make total sense for them to jump in as a team sponsor for Extreme E. They back so many rally events that you almost start wondering when they'll finally make their move into EE.

Formula E isn't on my radar at all—I realized that a long time ago. WEC? Maybe, possibly...

Oh, please...

So, Red Bull—the same guys struggling with engine issues in F1 and who basically had a massive meltdown regarding their hybrid electrical systems 🙂
—if I recall correctly, they had the absolute worst KERS on the grid when they were developing it themselves. Just endless nonsense with the alternator and whatnot...
And now they’re supposedly entering some series where the engine won't matter much because everything is electric and their specialty, aerodynamics, is almost irrelevant...😁

When it comes to WEC, everything really hinges on what Ford decides to do. Electric racing isn't quite there yet, unless they step in as a major partner or something similar. Red Bull Racing is just throwing money at the problem and letting their engineers figure it out. By the way, Red Bull Racing actually became the first constructor in Formula 1 to build a 100% electric car, specifically to use for pit stop practice.

I'm on my tablet right now and can't seem to track down the specific clip, but if you look on YouTube, there's footage of Red Bull Racing's pit stop drills where they use a KERS electric motor as—maybe(?)—their only power source.
