USB drive issues

I've got this 64 GB USB drive that just won't show up on any computer I try. I hear the standard connection sound when I plug it in, but then... nothing. Absolutely nothing happens. What are the odds that this thing is officially dead, or should I bother taking it to a repair shop? It didn't take a hit or anything; it just stopped working out of nowhere. 👎

I've got one of those myself. And honestly? It’s absolutely loaded with stuff. 😢

First thing you should do is hop into File Explorer > View and make sure you've got Hidden Items checked. See if that makes it pop up for you..
It really ought to show up in Disk Management too.

Nope. It’s still giving me that "not accessible" error message.

..if it’s totally invisible.. where even are you getting that "not accessible" error message from?

I've run into a few spots where a partition had been wiped or the format was just sitting there as RAW instead of being FAT32 or NTFS, but they still showed up in "Disk Management" so I could just rebuild the partition or reformat it.

Every time I try to click on my D drive—which is just my flash drive—this annoying notification pops up right in my face.
I’ve already spent way too much time digging through random forums online, and everyone keeps suggesting I just format the thing. But here’s the catch: formatting wipes everything clean, and I am absolutely not doing that.

If it’s not working in any of the ports—A, B, or C—you should at least drop a screenshot of your Disk Management screen, kind of like the one I posted here...

Disk Management says everything is perfectly fine. Well, screw that.

So you're saying it shows up? I mean, I just can't tell what the status is right now—whether there’s actually a partition there, or if it's formatted as NTFS, Microsoft, RAW, or something else entirely. If it's showing up as NTFS or Microsoft, then we can definitely get to those files. Even if they're hidden, there have been a few threads on this forum already that walk you through exactly how to dig them out.
