I don't get it... I gave you the profile link of the person who sent *me* a DM. If that profile is actually banned, then I'm guessing they shouldn't even be able to message anyone else in the first place.

California has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove California from the recipient list and send the message again.

So what the hell... "California" sends me a message, but the second I hit "reply" and click "send," I get an automated error saying "California" can't receive messages. Make it make sense!

Can you look into this? It's clearly some kind of glitch or bug.

unknown, just a total brain fart. But hey, glad you got a laugh out of it. 👍

And honestly, I didn't even need to worry about privacy when the error is clearly baked right into the profile name itself—because one second I get a notification, but then when I try to reply, it's like the system automatically redirects me to some completely different profile.

It might be some weird glitch with how the forum handles special characters—you know, like how "California" might look fine, but if you mess with the accents or specific letter formatting, the site just loses its mind and won't recognize the difference.

And you even went as far as saying he’s just some clone of a permanent user 😢

Don't just click reply...
Start a new message, type in the exact username you’re aiming for, wait until that specific name pops up in the dropdown menu, and then select it...

If you're really determined, just copy the old message you want to quote...

At first, I thought I just typed the "wrong" name by mistake, but after that, it stuck. Every single time I tried to send a PM, it would send it to the wrong person—even when I was replying directly to the "right" user's post...
It wasn't even a typo with a dot or something; it was two different accounts where one had a space and the other didn't...
Anyway, it finally cleared up after I logged out, wiped my cookies, and logged back in...😉

Thanks, man. Finally, an actual useful answer. Honestly, it feels like you know more about how this site works than the moderators who are supposed to be the experts here.

I'm gonna try it your way—hopefully, that's the fix.

I tried doing it your way, but it’s just not working. So, I go into the dropdown menu and select the username "California"—the person I actually want to message—but for some reason, the system keeps defaulting the message to "maraška." And then, wouldn't you know it, I get that same old error message saying "maraška" can't receive private messages.

Can you guys please look into fixing this? Honestly, it’s incredibly frustrating when you're just trying to send a quick note or reply to someone, but the forum keeps hijacking your message and sending it to the wrong account instead.

Try logging out and clearing your cookies in Firefox or whatever browser you're running...
Then log back in and try sending that PM again...

Also, what does it say on the far left under "options"? And is the site showing up in English or American for you?
I know mine occasionally glitches over to English, and then the characters just turn into total gibberish...
But whenever I log out and wipe my cookies, it snaps back to American and everything works fine again...

I swear, sometimes it flips over to English on me out of nowhere, and then the weird characters start glitching out everywhere...
But once I log out and wipe my cookies, everything resets back to American and it's fine again...

It says "Options."

My forum is being super weird—half the time it's in American and the other half it's in English.
