First Man (2018)

The resolution has this intentional vintage vibe to it—it feels totally purposeful—so if you’re into that aesthetic when watching on a massive screen, it’s definitely worth the buy
The audio isn't exactly groundbreaking, but honestly, since we were in such a small venue, I'm guessing that played a part in it

Finally, a new one worth a second viewing after what feels like an eternity since I last saw something decent..
The soundtrack was spot on..

I’m honestly fed up with this obsession with superheroes, comic book tropes, and all those endless movies made for kids..
It feels like there isn't a single thing left to watch that doesn't insult your intelligence or look like it was filmed on a shoestring budget in someone's backyard..

There was a time when movies were actually made for adults..

Solid movie. I really dug how claustrophobic the action felt. My only gripe was that whole subplot involving the wife and kids—honestly, you could just cut that entire thing out. It feels like they just shoved a female character in there because they thought they had to, even though she added zero to the story.

I’m going to drift back toward the music again for a second...
Ever since that opening score from Passengers 2016, I haven't heard a soundtrack hit quite this hard..

It just feels like a complete, cohesive piece of work..

If anyone actually thinks the music doesn't matter, they’re missing the point—it carries half the damn atmosphere of the movie..
You can tell instantly whether a production actually put some soul into it, or if it’s just some lazy, mass-produced garbage..
Just total La La stuff..
