I picked up an Amazon Fire HD 7 more than a year ago now.
I vividly remember back then that it just wasn't performing particularly fast.
To be honest, I mean if you were to try and launch something simple like a game of chess or even just open up a web browser, it would take such an incredibly long time that you’d actually get those annoying system pop-ups asking if you want to wait or force the application to close... and because things crashed so frequently, you often found yourself having to restart the whole app from scratch. Now, look, I fully realize this isn't some high-end powerhouse device, but for it to struggle to run even basic applications under normal circumstances feels quite strange to me, doesn't it?!

Look, it’s rocking 1GB of RAM and it’s six years old; of course it isn't going to perform the way you're imagining it should. It's like asking why my 1994 Chevy Silverado is burning through 20 miles per 62 miles 😁

That tablet was decent back in its day, but honestly, it just doesn't cut it anymore. It’s like trying to pull up on an iPhone 4 today when everyone else is using an iPhone X, for example

Well, I hear you, I really do. But even back when I first picked this thing up two years ago, it was already starting to lag.
So, is it actually normal for the Google Play Store to just throw a fit every time I open it, telling me the store has crashed and asking me to restart it?
I mean, it’s gotten to the point where I can't even launch a simple game of Chess... I've tried everything—wiped all my data, performed a full factory reset—but nothing seems to fix the underlying issue.

Honestly, I think I’m just going to sell it and put some money toward something a bit more reliable... What should I actually be looking for in a device that won't constantly crash on basic apps? I just want something that lets me browse the web or check Craigslist without the whole system seizing up and shutting down. And don't even get me started on Google Maps or using GPS navigation; at this rate, I doubt those will even load properly.
