Jason Grant said:Hmmmm, hmmm, okay Monty, sure! I guess the moderators are just going to find some little "violations" in your posts, like commenting on the moderation itself?
And you didn't even bother to tell us why your friend got a red card—you mentioned something about innate, total idiocy directed right at our buddy Monty, and then some crazy talk about forcing a straightjacket on a fellow forum member... and get this, Monty!!, all within the thread "flight to the moon"! You’re claiming it wasn't deserved? Oh, please...

In your rush to judge, you totally missed the point. This had nothing to do with Saugar and his red card, which is probably what you were thinking. I was talking about my own red card, for which I actually received 45 points (not 40!), regarding a private message I exchanged with another user while discussing a third person's behavior (Private Reason: Insulting a user by Bat Kol 45).
So, it wasn't public, I didn't say it to anyone's face, and it wasn't in the thread itself; I just took what I would have normally said publicly and put it in a PM. But even PMs are visible and subject to reaction. Meanwhile, calling someone an idiot yesterday earned a yellow card. See? That's the level of consistency in punishment I'm talking about.
So, back off from Monty, calm down, and wait until you actually know what happened before you lose your cool.

Jason Grant said:It's funny how you call for "order," yet you don't seem to notice your own—how should I put this—your little gems, Monty:
"
I wonder if you even know who or what the Borg are? And how they came to be?

—where, in a thread about pyramids, you suddenly show such intense interest in... the !! Borg!! ...but wait, the topic is pyramids, Monty!

You know, Jason, if there's any kind of person I can't stand, it's liars and troublemakers like you. People who cherry-pick quotes as "proof" for their claims and troll perfectly normal discussions.

I bet you haven't even read this post:

LLskylights: "The Borg are a technological civilization. Level 4, though even at Level 4, there are civilizations that are more advanced through non-technological means. The Borg don't know telepathy without technology, which places them in a primitive Level 4. What is described for Level 7 is practically God. Or at least one major step closer to the divine level."

And that was in a thread about pyramids. 🤦

So, Jason, besides being the "owner" of one of the biggest blunders in that PDF—the one about "Pharaohs flying in octahedrons (not pyramids!) lying in sarcophagi full of liquid metal)" for which you provided ZERO actual arguments other than that random statement you pulled out of thin air (even though you were asked to back it up, you just stayed silent and pivoted to attacking and trolling the threads)—your other "contribution" to the discussion boils down to just commenting on other people's posts. Nothing else.

Jason Grant said:Then you go ahead and claim—honestly, I don't even know who would buy this—that
"
someone could just imagine a pyramid built from a single stone, yet he let the contractors work on it for twenty years, they mess up the walls, misalign the main hall, ...and the whole thing turns into a 'Small town in USA project[/B

]

So, basically: pyramids + Small town in USA + shoddy workmanship = the absolute mess that you, Ethan Brooks59, are creating.
And then comes the grand finale, which is honestly beyond stupid:
"
'RA,' an all-knowing genius who was actually just out partying, eating, and living it up""

Ethan Brooks59, this is a total disaster!

Ethan Brooks59, now *this* is what I call a real mess.
...and I won't even list the rest, since this is all from just the last day or two. I really don't want to go there.

Was this supposed to look better by centering it? Because it definitely doesn't. And hey, if you had actually participated in the debate instead of just hovering around threads and trolling, maybe you’d understand what you call these "disasters." Or maybe not, because they might be at a level slightly too high for your "pharaohs in hot tubs." See, they actually back their points up with arguments and facts.
As for you, you haven't provided a single solid argument to date, so... honestly, I don't think anyone can take you seriously as a relevant voice here.

I truly hope that you, Ethan Brooks59, realize that your hands aren't the only ones covered in mud in this situation. I'd suggest everyone grab some soap and give themselves a good scrub.
Unfortunately, they are, because I have to sift through a mountain of side effects caused by years of stunted individual development just to find one coherent thing to say in response to any post you guys drop in this thread. And man, it’s getting harder and harder. When people run out of actual arguments, they resort to ad hominem attacks—which is exactly where you've landed. And as for the soap comment, you've got plenty of "experience" there, don't you? It's the 21st century, so I guess that's fine, but it’s certainly not helping the quality of the discussion here.
😁 😁

Ethan Barrett22 said:So, here’s the thing—if you’re talking about someone who’s racked up over 35,000 posts but seems to be getting banned every other second, just imagine how many they would actually have if they weren't constantly getting sidelined! 🤦Honestly, his posts never go beyond a few dozen words—most of the time, they're just a handful of syllables. He’s basically the living, breathing embodiment of exactly what you're talking about! 👍

No, that’s not quite what I meant! I was actually referring to some of the characters mentioned in those other PDFs. To be honest, even though I read through the ones covering alternatives and nutrition—and I have to admit, there are some seriously fantastic pieces in there—that specific subject matter is a bit outside my wheelhouse. Since I don't know nearly enough about it, I usually just sit on the sidelines rather than jumping into the conversation!

Ethan Barrett22 said:The one thing I just can't wrap my head around—and honestly, I don't think anyone else can either—is the idea that... Honestly, I just don't think it’s right to go around labeling anyone's statements like that. It feels totally out of line! Honestly, I feel like we just spend way too much time dwelling on total nonsense!.
You know, I’ve been thinking about this lately—something that some people just never seem to do, while others do it constantly without fail. It’s one of those little things that really makes a difference! 🤔
Honestly, I feel like you’re basically calling that user an idiot anyway—I don't see any real difference between the two!
I mean, let’s be honest here—only a total moron would go around writing absolute nonsense, don't you think?

Absolutely. Look, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but on a forum like this, an opinion only really carries weight if you actually back it up with logic—I think you’ll agree with me there! If someone just digs their heels in on a baseless stance and continues to clutter a thread by constantly inserting their own weird perspective into everyone else's discussions, honestly, what can you even say? They’re being rude, plain and simple, and they're just talking nonsense since they haven't provided a single shred of evidence to support their claims. The absolute peak of absurdity was trying to drag the Borg pyramids into this context (honestly, they could have just as easily brought up E.T., Gremlins, Ninja Turtles, or Krang!). I mean, seriously, how does anyone even wrap their head around connecting that to the topic at hand? Of course, people can believe whatever they want, but does that mean tomorrow in a thread about raw foods, someone is going to start bringing up Smurfs and insisting that cocoons or flies are edible just because "that's how they gather them"? I bet you'd definitely have a reaction to that! At the end of the day, you put so much time and genuine effort into writing meaningful, thoughtful posts, and when some random person starts tossing trash all over them just to pad their post count, it's incredibly frustrating. It's not like I can just expand my ignore list to infinity!

And honestly, what can you even say about someone who needs a phenomenon explained to them at least five different times, only to turn around and ask the exact same question again like they're looking for a direct answer? It’s beyond frustrating! Then, to top it all off, after I report the post, the original question stays right there, while my response—where I point out that we've reached the level of pure stupidity—gets wiped away. Talk about a joke!
So, here’s the rough breakdown of how this usually plays out. This thread spans about seven pages in total. On the first three pages, everyone’s laying out the details and getting into some solid discussions. But then, once you hit page six, you’ll inevitably run into that one person who asks the exact same question all over again and starts getting aggressive about it. Honestly, if they’d just take a second to actually read the previous posts, they’d see we already covered everything they're asking!

Ethan Barrett22 said:Look, if we disagree with someone, we really ought to back it up with actual arguments instead of just being rude and labeling everything nonsense without any proof.
I’m sure you’d agree that if we don't, we aren't acting any better than he is—honestly, we might even be worse, right?

Exactly! But honestly, when the moderators drop the ball, what are you supposed to do? It just turns into this endless cycle of outsmarting one another and diluting the conversation until you either give up or the moderator tells you, "If you have a problem with what's being said here on the alternative board, why don't you head over to the main forum and take it there?" Is that really what a healthy community is supposed to look like?

Ethan Barrett22 said:That's why I think the moderation team is actually doing a pretty decent job overall. Everyone seems to want things tilted in their own favor, trying to silence anyone who thinks differently. It can't be easy to moderate fairly when everyone wants special treatment.
Because of that, I feel like moderator impartiality is the absolute most important factor.
Most of the discussion on the alternative board is fine, but certain parts are a total disaster.

For the most part, the moderation is solid, but lately, there's been this trend of "letting things slide" under the guise of "everyone has a right to say whatever they want." That's exactly why so many threads end up looking the way they do today.

Ethan Barrett22 said:And let's be real here—have you noticed how we're sliding back into bickering just because people have different opinions? People try to drag personal spats and disagreements into these threads, and of course, it never leads anywhere.
This thread was started with a completely different purpose in mind.

I totally agree with that, which is why I don't want to keep commenting on it. Otherwise, we'll just end up nitpicking the moderation instead of sticking to the reason this thread exists in the first place.

Ethan Brooks59-
You missed the point of my general outburst. I wasn't targeting Jerry Robinson56 or his red card—though that’s clearly what you assumed. I was talking about my own red card, which actually cost me 45 points, not 40, and it all stemmed from a private message I exchanged with another member regarding how a third person was acting (Private Reason: Insulting a user by Bat Kol 45).
So, instead of calling someone an idiot out in public or making a scene right in the middle of the thread, I just sent a private message containing exactly what I would have said openly. It’s the same thing, really—the message still exists, everyone can see it, and people are reacting to it regardless. Apparently, calling someone a moron yesterday earned me a yellow card.

Since you clearly don't grasp how adjective placement works, you're heading straight toward the wrong conclusions.
And why are you suddenly whining to us about all those red cards you've been racking up?
I’m not getting involved in that, nor am I going to comment on it.
If you think this penalty is totally baseless, just take it up through the formal appeal process—it’s right there if you want to make a case for yourself.
You know, Jason Grant, if there’s one type of person that really gets under my skin, it’s the liars and the smear artists like you—the kind who cherry-pick snippets of quotes to use as "proof" just to derail any actual, decent conversation.

It’s funny how you’re the one, Ethan Brooks59, who was actually out there pitching those PDF improvement proposals for the subforum.
"Is there any chance the mods could just redact the controversial parts and leave a note saying "content removed for violating community standards" or something like that?
So you're trying to hide your insults under the guise of some lengthy, rambling manifesto just so the mods won't hit the delete button because of the word count? Give me a break.😵
It feels like you’ve basically used those insults to describe yourself, honestly. You're just handing out those negative labels to your own reflection.

Even after everything I laid out for you;
"If someone thinks they can hide behind a massive, long-winded essay to justify throwing insults or breaking the rules of this forum, they’re mistaken. Just because you put effort into a lengthy intellectual deep dive doesn't give you a free pass to act out, and frankly, there's no point in even arguing about it once that line is crossed.
Of course a post like that deserves to be sanctioned.

So you honestly think you can just toss around insults and ignore the rules of this forum whenever you feel like it?
You clearly didn't bother to read the post.

LLskylights The Borg are essentially a tech-driven civilization. They sit at level four, though even within that tier, you've got societies that have pushed much further ahead through means other than just hardware. Since they can't pull off telepathy without relying on their gear, they’re actually pretty primitive for a level four entity. What they describe as level seven is basically reaching the status of God—or at least taking one massive leap toward that divine plane.
Regarding that whole debate about the pyramids. 🤦

Of course I am, and that’s exactly where you're missing the point.
You played this little game of being "interested" in Llskylight's post by bringing up the Borg.
Then, you turned the whole thing into your own personal circus of parodies, throwing around talk of orgies and creating the exact kind of mess you love to blame everyone else for.
On top of that, you're falling straight into a logical fallacy—assuming something has to be false or impossible just because it’s hard for one specific person, specifically you, Ethan Brooks59, to wrap your head around it. It's a classic Argument from Personal Incredulity.
To make matters worse, you're just muddying the waters with a bunch of unproven, disconnected leaps. You jump from making assumptions about people to attacking their character—which really just highlights your own lack of integrity—to nitpicking the moderators, all while tripping over your own flawed logic.
Our actual goal should be raising the quality of the discussion itself.

Guys, I honestly don't know how to put this more gently—you all get pretty exhausting with these same old repetitive arguments. No matter what topic is brought up regarding Alternative, everything just devolves into the same endless bickering. Next time you feel the urge to jump in, just ask yourselves: did anyone actually invite me to join this specific conversation? By "invited," I mean if someone specifically asked, "Hey, [username], would you be kind enough to share your thoughts on this issue?" If that hasn't been said, please just leave it alone...

Look, even though this thread is officially locked, I feel like I need to step in as a supermod just so we don't end up with ten different threads popping up about this exact same thing.

I’ve spent some time looking over everything, and honestly, it seems like most of this was just people obsessing over raw food topics and venting about how the moderator handled things. To be blunt, I went through all the posts she deleted, and I don't see any reason to restore a single one of them. Most of those posts were basically just people bickering at each other rather than having a 'normal' conversation like we actually expect here. Plus, if I had left them up, they probably would have just fueled even more fighting than what we already saw on the thread itself.
I think I mentioned this before, but moderators aren't supposed to—and frankly, shouldn't—just edit your posts to strip out the parts that break the rules. It doesn't matter how much effort you put into your writing; if even a tiny fraction of your post violates the rules, the whole thing gets tossed.

As for everyone else chiming in on this, I’m totally with Michelle Evans on this one. Seriously guys, just chill out and stop jumping into every single thread where PDF improvement proposal is mentioned. Just because you hang out in the PDF improvement proposal section doesn't mean you have the right to pile onto every complaint without anyone actually asking for your take.
