You’re being absolutely ridiculous
Just send me a DM, for God's sake... I can't even deal with this right now

If we're being honest, that’s just a classic way to build an alibi. He’s basically covered all his bases; whatever happens to Canada in the quarterfinals, he can just turn around and say, "A-ha, I called it."🙄

Canadians have been all over the place lately, but honestly, this is basically a brand-new roster, so seeing some inconsistency is totally normal. For them, just making it to the quarterfinals is a massive win—that was their whole goal from the start, and even if they end up getting knocked out now by an opponent that looks unexpectedly easy on paper, they’ve still checked their main box. I'm not just talking trash here; those are just the facts. They're playing the long game and timing everything perfectly for Tokyo 2020; everything else is just a stepping stone along the way.

Handball is just built different—it’s always some big play being prepped for the future. 🙏

Dammit, that's exactly how the Germans did it when they pulled off that win at the 2016 championship and grabbed bronze at the UN Games. Generational shifts are just part of the game—even Canada is going through one right now.

and those scheduling issues come from having too many tournaments...
That could just be empty rhetoric, honestly. Not with Vujin, though—and I'm not out here playing lawyer for him. You can literally see how many young guys he's bringing up and how much playing time he's actually giving them. I'm telling you, no coach in Canada would ever dream of doing that.

We’re absolute geniuses when it comes to planning, aren't we? Seriously. We started building a roster specifically for Rio de Janeiro 2016, but then we realized we were basically sinking and there wouldn't be any money left by then. So, suddenly Rio didn't matter anymore, and everyone just pivoted to building a squad for World Cup 2018 instead. 🤣

Or consider those moments when everyone assumes the French will finally retire their greatest generation of handball players just to let others have a shot at the gold, yet the French simply shrug and throw out a few new names who fly across the court. When I watch these new kids of theirs, I honestly feel like I am watching antelopes.

Exactly this—it’s basically just a great way to sharpen your edge through high-stakes competition. 😬
Yeah, we're pretty much constantly fine-tuning our game at every single tournament just to get ready for the next one—or the one after that.

Give me a break... they’re broadcasting Norway vs. Canada instead of France vs. Sweden. What a joke. They can go jump in a lake. Here we go again with the endless buffering... ☕

The Germans got knocked out, so now they're just messing with us Americans who actually made the cut

Honestly, watching these new guys, I feel like I'm watching a pack of gazelles out there.
Just a quick heads-up, though: this summer they already swept the gold at both the '96 and '98 age group championships (with Dika Mem leading the charge). We're going to be seeing them sitting right at the top for years to come, so there's really nothing to worry about.😉

Names like Karabatić, Omeyer, Abalo, Guigou, Sorhaindo, and Narcisse... they aren't exactly new to us, I guess.

Just as a side note here: where did you get the idea that we should be airing a match that would likely overlap with our own coverage anyway?🤔
