I guess the games I'm actually looking forward to most are Norway-Mexico and Russia-Canada. Everything else seems kinda boring, honestly.

It’s a bit disheartening to see how far handball still has to go to reach true global status. Even the European Championships seem more competitive than the World Cup. Only three non-European teams managed to advance—Qatar, Brazil, and Egypt—and it feels certain they'll all be eliminated soon. We saw more representation at the last World Cup, with Brazil, Qatar, Egypt, Tunis, and Argentina all making waves.

Norway-Mexico 1

Honestly, I'm calling Norway the heavy favorites here. I don't see them struggling much at all. If they just stick to their fast-paced game, those Mexicans won't stand a chance. The Mexican squad keeps swapping out three players at a time, which slows things down too much, and they constantly run these 7-on-6 plays that just fail, leaving them wide open for easy goals.

France - Iceland 1

Iceland barely scraped into the round of 16, so anything other than a French win would be a massive shocker.

Russia-Canada 2

This is probably going to be the craziest matchup of the round. I might give a tiny edge to the Canadians, though. Russia is stuck without Atman, and Gorbok didn't even play last game—those are easily their two best guys right there. Canada also brought in someone new; instead of Miklavčič, they threw in another rookie, Jan Grebenc Brazil.

Brazil - Spain 2

The Spaniards are playing lights out, so they shouldn't have much trouble against Brazil. Their coach, Jordi Ribera, actually coached Brazil for four years, so he knows them inside and out. They looked amazing against Canada—just super fast handball, tons of fast breaks and second chances, and great wing play. Brazil’s got two interesting guys on the wings, Langaro and Toledo.

What on earth are those Mexicans doing? I mean, they don't even have a goalie, plus their technical skills are just... meh, I guess.

The Norwegians are totally wiping the floor with them. It’s such a fun group, though—they really know how to get under anyone's skin.

Does anyone know if there's an actual real-time stream available? I'm tired of seeing one score on Flashscore—say, 6:7—only to look at the live stream and see it's actually 4:7. 😁

That was easily the worst half I've ever seen from the Frenchies, while Iceland played a flawless game—they only made one single technical error. What an incredible squad 👍

Yeah, those Frenchmen are absolutely crushing it right out of the gate.

I wonder why Abalo isn't playing much? I saw he managed to score one goal, though I haven't really been following the game since it started.
