Looking for SSD recommendations?

So I’ve got this old Seagate BarraCuda 160 GB just sitting there, and I’m looking to grab a 120GB SSD—either used or new, whatever works. But honestly? I don't know the first thing about SSDs. I'm totally lost here. Does anyone even know if an SSD will actually work with my ASUS Prime N68 motherboard? I have no clue if it's even compatible.

It works, just make sure you've got a SATA port on the motherboard (which you do), and you're good to go. You're basically just looking for a standard 2.5" SATA Samsung SSD

It’s probably better to just say how much you’re looking to spend first—then we can actually give you some solid recommendations based on your budget..

I see everyone keeps throwing the SanDisk Ultra UV400 into the mix, so I'm seriously leaning toward just grabbing that one.

It’s a solid choice if it stays on the cheaper side of whatever you're looking at, say around $133.
