So I just had my laptop in for a repaste, and now I’m dealing with this super weird issue. The keyboard works perfectly fine in the BIOS, but once I boot into macOS, it completely stops responding. Any idea what’s going on? I'm totally lost here, can anyone help me out?

That’s seriously weird...

Does your F-key actually respond during bootup? Can you try getting into Safe Mode just to see if it works there?

Also, try plugging in an external keyboard and mouse to see if they respond. If you can somehow force a system recovery or a rollback, that might fix things... 🤷

I managed to get the trackpad working through the BIOS by enabling the mousepad and keyboard settings, but my mouse is still totally dead. It’s happening in both Safe Mode and normal mode—it's super weird. An external mouse works fine, so why is this one just refusing to cooperate?

Maybe the driver just glitched out. Find the specific one for that exact model and try a clean reinstall.

Maybe you just didn't link it to the 401(k).
