So, I kicked off a thread about the barefoot lifestyle in this sub at the start of the month. I even added a little disclaimer right at the top saying I wasn't sure if it belonged in this specific section, basically telling the mods to move it wherever they thought fit. We were all chatting away for a bit and things seemed totally fine—then I stepped away from the forum for maybe two weeks. Now that I'm back, the whole thread has just... vanished. For some reason. I’m pretty sure I followed all the community guidelines when I posted it, so I don't get why it would just get nuked without any explanation.

I tried using the search tool to find my own posts, but it's like those specific ones just dropped off the face of the earth. I checked my inbox to see if there was any notification, but nothing. No warnings, no bans, nothing. So, I’m genuinely confused here—what gives? Is there some weird beef with people embracing the barefoot lifestyle that I don't know about?

Just like you said, two weeks have flown by, and it’s getting pretty hard to recall all the gritty details.
I'm guessing your level of interest in this whole thing was basically tied to how much time you actually spent following it.

To break things down for you:
- Honestly, this thread didn't really fit the vibe of the Health & Wellness subforum (I mean, the whole "why walking in shoes is a necessity in today's American climate" argument is pretty self-explanatory on its own), but we decided to let it ride anyway (just like we do with a bunch of other threads like it). Sometimes—and I'll admit, quite often—these kinds of topics can actually spark a really interesting and useful conversation.
- There was definitely some blatant self-promotion going on from certain users—basically just a bunch of sockpuppet accounts working together, praising each other and funneling everyone toward one specific site.
- If you're feeling slighted because we haven't slapped any disciplinary measures on you yet, maybe try reaching out to one of the senior moderators and see if they'll do you a favor.
Even if it's just to give you an excuse to troll a little.
