Dual monitor setup on one PC?

Hey there,
I'm looking to pick up a small, budget-friendly flat-screen monitor—just something to have running in the background for shows or movies while I'm working on my main screen.

I'm wondering what I actually need to make this happen. I think I read somewhere that the graphics card needs to have at least two outputs?

Here’s what I’m running right now:

Samsung SyncMaster, 23", Full HD, 2ms, 50000:1, HDMI, 1920x1080 default resolution
MS pro-550W power supply

Your graphics card actually comes equipped with two outputs already. You can just hook one monitor up to the HDMI port and the other to either the VGA or DVI port. Once everything is plugged in, you simply configure the dual-screen setup within your display settings.

So, I guess nothing's actually stopping me from hooking up two monitors, other than the fact that I'm currently missing an entire second monitor... great. 😁 I didn't want to sound like I was planning on buying a second one if it turned out I already had everything I needed.
