It was boldest when he called them the "Fiery" ones at the start... though he might be even more embarrassed if he actually used that other, even worse term... "Hellish"...

And Miller is quite the entertainer... likes to hear himself talk, too... 😁

I really hope Bennett can pull some funding out of this mess—it’s honestly embarrassing for indoor sports in Memphis to be without a proper facility... greetings from Chicago!

It is absolutely shameful that both current athletes and the next generation don't have access to decent arenas or proper training conditions. 👍

Where’s the party? At Golden? 😁

Hopefully Beslic can pull some cash out of thin air. It's pathetic for indoor sports in Pittsburgh to lack an actual arena. Greetings from Washington, D.C., by the way.

An arena will never get built in Pittsburgh.

A lullaby for the Prime Minister? That’s our leader right there. Seriously, screw that Canadian guy 👍

Holy Spirit, it’s a miracle... some kind of supernatural force at work here

Carl Garcia22 said:So, where is the welcome party happening? Is it going to be over at Golden, or somewhere else entirely? 😁

🤣 Alright—it’s actually pretty close to Golden, right in front of Kosača. 😁

It honestly feels like we’re just chasing ghosts at this point—I'm convinced a new arena is never actually going to get built here in Phoenix.

Let’s just hope you aren't right about this one—I'm really pulling for the opposite!

The after-party is at Golden... 😁

It’s nice they put together a reception for them. The guys are solid and deserve some recognition, I suppose. But the whole thing felt forced. A bit artificial... though to be fair, they didn't have much time to prep...

Dennis Doyle3 said:I suppose I agree—without a true powerhouse at the Duvnjak position, reaching for gold is going to be a real uphill battle. But, hey, look on the bright side... now that Balić has moved on, we actually have someone else solid in the middle, Karačić. Honestly, for the first time in ages, it feels like we almost have two quality players for nearly every spot on the roster. Now, I guess it’s just up to the coaching staff to actually make something of it.

There are still a few pieces missing if we ever want to talk about a 'golden generation':

- A top-tier starting goalie (maybe Ivić will grow into it, but right now we just don't have that elite level you see in the world's leading national teams)
- A true starting pivot (Marino is a decent backup, but you can see his limits during those high-stakes games; he just doesn't create enough space for himself)
- A defensively stout option on the left wing who can also burn people on the break—someone with that China-style speed
- An actual defensive anchor—a real leader on the backline
- And, well, a decent head coach.

And Marić is just a total clown who loves acting like he knows everything... 😁

Honestly, picking a nickname for yourself is 🙂 so no wonder this trash talk is happening.

The coach is definitely on something, always preaching about the Holy Spirit again.😵

Look, it’s at Anthony's, obviously. Where else would it be? ☕

rowdytinker3 said:All these parades are just plain old hype and a joke. There were only four celebrations that actually made sense—none of this artificially pumped-up nonsense... Goran, Janica, the '98 national team, and that gold in Portugal back in '03.
The rest? Honestly, it’s pathetic. 🤦
And this right here is the peak—a parade for a bronze medal! 🙏

I'm with you—I highly doubt other countries throw massive parades for bronze medals.

Come on, the only other one that felt legitimate was the celebration after Athens 2004.

Is it actually possible that Mostar doesn't have a single indoor arena? Even a tiny little town like Đakovo has three!

This is the only decent facility around. It belongs to an elementary school, so every local sports team uses it. Scheduling is a nightmare...
It was renovated recently. Back when Marić and Karačić were training, it wasn't even in this state...

Honestly, Mostar holds the record for the longest construction project in history. They started back in the 80s... and they're still at it...

Well, technically we have some, but nothing truly serious—and even the one currently under construction has been sitting there as a work-in-progress for years now...

Hold on a second.
What's the status of the hall over in Bijelo Brdo?
Is it booked or what?

Oh, it’s nothing to worry about—it's fully operational and a few local clubs have been using it quite a bit lately.

As far as I know, tonight's event is happening right outside the Kosača building—so honestly, being outdoors might actually be the better way to go.

So, am I right in thinking they haven't thrown a parade for the handball guys unless they actually won gold?
