Flash vs. HTML5: What's the verdict?

So, I was thinking about how Flash used to be this massive, global powerhouse for basically all multimedia stuff online, but now it’s just kind of... fading away, I guess. Back when it was actually peaking, it was serving up content to millions of people every single day, which is wild if you think about it. But the thing was, Flash was always such a total resource hog, constantly draining whatever device it was running on, and then you had the whole headache where half the gadgets out there wouldn't even support it—especially those iOS devices, right? Anyway, I'm curious what you guys think about all these HTML5 technologies stepping up to take its place. Is it actually better, or just different?😛

Evolution ultimately did Flash in. As the internet shifted toward Web 2.0—driven by social media and the interconnected, dynamic landscape we see today—Flash simply couldn't keep up with the change.
