Laptop screen issues - help!

So, I’ve been wrestling with my old eMachines E725 laptop lately, and I’ve run into a bit of a head-scratcher! Every time I power it up, the built-in display just stays stuck on a solid, blank white screen. It’s like looking at a bright, empty canvas instead of my desktop! However, when I plug it into an external monitor, everything looks perfectly fine and the image pops up without any issues at all. Given that the external setup works like a charm, I’m trying to narrow down the culprit—do you think I'm looking at a dead LCD panel, or is it more likely that the internal ribbon cable has finally given up the ghost?

Most likely just a faulty ribbon cable. Or, honestly, it could be something way worse. I'm not saying anything for certain without a pro running diagnostics or some actual testing: if you know your way around hardware, just grab a new ribbon cable and swap it out yourself...

I think I’ll give it a shot by swapping out that ribbon cable instead;

The only way to be sure is to get it scanned at a shop... It’s pointless to just start buying random parts one by one and hoping for the best. Those components aren't exactly cheap like some flimsy ribbon cable...
