Greetings.

I recently purchased this Dell Inspiron 15 and have observed a peculiar delay when initiating audio playback. Specifically, when starting a song or any video on YouTube, there is a noticeable lag—typically lasting about 30 seconds, though occasionally stretching to two minutes—before the surround sound engages. To describe the phenomenon: the audio begins at a very low volume, remains muted or quiet for a duration, and then suddenly shifts into full surround mode, resulting in a significantly louder output with much heavier bass.
This issue occurs exclusively through the built-in speakers; I have not tested this with headphones, so I cannot say if the behavior persists in that configuration.

I have already attempted to reinstall the Realtek Audio driver and restored all settings to their factory defaults within the Dolby Home Theater control panel.

I would appreciate any assistance if a solution to this matter exists.😁

specification for sound system :

Name Nvidia Virtual audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
Manufacturer NVIDIA
Status OK

Name Realtek Audio Manufacturer Realtek
Status OK

The laptop is running Windows 7 Professional.

It’s pretty likely the software has some kind of "smart" feature built in—something that automatically toggles that effect on or off. I think there are a few different functions like that mentioned in the documentation:
