No driver available for Windows 7

I need some technical assistance here. I'm running Windows 7 on my PC, but I have a printer for which there are absolutely no drivers available for this OS.
Is it possible to install Windows XP, or perhaps another operating system that actually supports my printer, and then just use XP specifically for printing tasks?
The device in question is a Brother fax machine. It’s fast, reliable, and works perfectly fine—I really don't want to waste money on a new one right now.

It’s been about a week now and I still haven't gotten those printer drivers installed. If you find out there isn't a specific driver available for something like Windows Vista, you can actually just grab the one designed for Windows XP instead. My trick is to right-click the setup file once it's downloaded, head into the compatibility settings, set it to run as if it were on Windows Service Pack 3, and make sure you check the box to "Run as Administrator." It worked for me when I was trying to get an old device running on my laptop last month.

You could definitely do what shadowlynx102 suggested, but if you want a straight answer to your question: yeah, you can absolutely install Windows XP on your computer.
The real question is, do you actually want to deal with that headache?

Just install Windows 8.1
It should be able to automatically locate the correct driver for your printer without any fuss.

As for XP? Throw it straight in the trash. 🤣
