I am in need of some assistance. No matter which Bluetooth dongle I attempt to install on my PC, it simply refuses to pull the necessary drivers. The only things appearing in my services are the Bluetooth enumerator and radio. Would anyone happen to have a solution for this? I am truly at my wit's end here... By the way, the exact same issue occurs on both Windows 7 and Windows 7/8.😵🙏🙏

Hmm, maybe it doesn't actually support Windows 7/8—if that's the case, there might not be any way to get it installed at all.

Hey, you got that Bluetooth icon sitting down there in your system tray?

Which Wi-Fi dongle are you using?
Where are you downloading the drivers from?

It doesn't matter which one I choose; my macOS system just pulls the drivers automatically anyway.

Do you happen to know the manufacturer or the model of that thing? Just so you can try downloading the right driver.

Look, if it's showing up like that in the Device Manager like you said, then the thing actually has to be working...
image
I mean, it might be functioning perfectly fine, you just haven't figured out how to actually talk to it yet...
Try hitting Start > Run, type in "fsquirt" and hit enter, then just mess around in there and see if you can send or receive something...
Once you've done that, check this out:
image
See if there's a Wi-Fi icon hanging around somewhere and set it to stay visible all the time, just to be safe.
Also, check the Control Panel under "Devices and Printers" to see if anything shows up there.
image
...and hey, you can also head over to the Network and Sharing Center in the Control Panel > Change adapter settings > right-click on the Wi-Fi connection > view Wi-Fi network connections and then try to add a device—there should be a button right there that says add a bluetooth device.

There aren't any drivers available. Their official website explicitly states that I should be pulling the drivers myself.

... so, the Wi-Fi is working fine and everything seems okay on the surface. I just picked up this little portable speaker
Belkin and my computer recognizes it via Wi-Fi, even downloads the driver, but that
pop-up window for the PIN just won't show up—which means I can't actually connect. It's stuck.

ANYONE HAVE A CLUE? 😵

By the way, the speaker works perfectly when I use a cable—those 4w are actually surprisingly loud!

p.s.

When I try hooking the speaker up to my TV, the volume stays cranked at max and there's just no way
to turn it down.🤦

pp.ss.

I also just realized it won't pair with my new phone, a Samsung Galaxy S series.

HELP ME OUT 😵

By the way, the speaker works totally fine when I plug it in with a cable—those 4w are surprisingly loud, honestly, it's crazy how much sound you get out of it

Try holding down the button when you turn it on so it stays in pairing mode; the code is probably just 0000

What should I do if my computer is searching for a speaker but just can't find it?

man, I already mentioned this above, you basically have to force it into pairing mode by holding down that power button for a while—or honestly, just check the manual, or if you give me the specific model number I can dig through the web and find out for you... usually, once it actually connects, the pairing code is just 0000 or 1234, or whatever the manual says, but those are pretty much the standard ones people use everywhere.
