It’s honestly heartbreaking. He had such an incredible, magical voice; his songs were the soundtrack to my childhood and my teenage years. R. I. P. Frank Sinatra...

Just read the news! 😢

One cold winter night, we lost Frank Sinatra.

Life can be a real jerk sometimes, just a total jerk who 'didn't want him' anymore.

And just like that, all that's left of a great guy is his beautiful spirit.

I hope he finds whatever peace is out there, because man, what a massive loss for American music. He left such a huge mark on the scene. R. I. P. Frank Sinatra.

I honestly lost count of how many times the media tried to write him off—I was so sure this was just another hoax, but man, am I wrong... 😢

R. I. P. Frank Sinatra, you were one of the good ones...

The legend is back

He just performed the greatest song ever written.

Ken, thank you!

Boston, my one true love

We grew up side by side
city, just you and me
underneath the same blue sky
which gifted us these lyrics
dreaming under Mount Rainier in the snow
wondering who would grow faster
or who would turn out more handsome

You were a legend
back when I was born
with a smile from Mount Whitney
you sent me a dream
a boy who fell for you then
has stayed right here
tethered to his home town

No matter where I wander
I find myself dreaming of you
all roads seem to lead back to you
waiting with a certain longing
for your lights to shine again
Boston, my one true love

Your songs are timeless
and I sing them still
I want to tell you what I dream
my joy is found in your happiness
Boston, my one true love

When the winters fade away
and beautiful May arrives
the girls look even lovelier
so give them all your love

The darkened walkways
sighing in the night
some with eyes of blue
some with words so sweet

That boy is a man now
while winter covers the hills
the park and the grass turning white
but the snow will surely melt

Spring and youth
will return once more
to my Boston
my only city

Boston, my one true love

I'm still dreaming
about grabbing you in a hug just like the old days
pouring all this love out at you
trying to scrub away every ugly memory
but it just won't happen—without you, life feels like it hit a dead end..

without you, every street I walk feels empty
just me, pacing step by step, without you there..

without you, nothing matters anymore
that's what life keeps whispering in my ear
telling me things aren't what they used to be..

one night, during some freezing winter
who knows where or when it'll happen
but someone's gonna remember your name
our long walks, our city..

but I'll be long gone by then
standing under some different rain somewhere else
and maybe someone else's name
will actually mean more to you than mine ever did..

I won't be there by your side
to calm you down or talk you through it
someone who isn't even anything like me
will be the one hiding your restlessness back then..

Frankie on his life and journey:

- I was recently honored in Nashville with a lifetime achievement award for forty years in the business, but honestly, the crowd and their applause—that’s the real prize for me, and it's why I'm still standing - Sinatra said quite candidly.

- I’ve never really been one for popularity, and I guess I don't quite grasp what that actually means. Popularity probably comes from the catalog, the songs, and all that—certainly not from me, since I'm neither young nor particularly easy on the eyes.🤣 People always seem to claim I’ve done a ton of duets. In reality, I think I've done the fewest, but that album Frankie and Friends featuring Paul Simon, Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, and several others, turned out to be quite a success—pretty much every track became a hit. It seems people genuinely enjoy my music, which I suppose is the whole secret to making it.

If we are worthy of that love...

Gone too soon, legend.... Rest in Heaven.

P.S. This is actually my first time posting in the Music subforum... But man, it felt necessary to say something for Frankie.

Man, his songs were the soundtrack to my entire childhood, and my dad used to constantly belt out "I've Returned to Life." He was truly a legend, both as a man and a musician. This news really hits home and leaves me feeling quite heavy-hearted.😢
