How to recover a formatted partition?

Just one little thing to point out: it doesn't really matter how much time has passed since those files were originally written to the HDD, whether we're talking about a few days or several years. You likely would have seen a nearly 100% recovery rate if you hadn't been tinkering with the drive after the format, and honestly, I think the biggest headache here was probably messing around with resizing the partition.

Well, I suppose there's always a lesson to be learned, right? Though I certainly hope I don't have to enroll in this particular "class" ever again!
If I had possessed even a shred of knowledge that data could actually be salvaged after a format, I swear I wouldn't have gone tinkering with those partitions in the first place.
