Hi everyone. I spent the summer working over in Switzerland, but after three months of being harassed at my job, I had to get out. It was essentially an escape; my boss was actually threatening me, saying he’d make my life hell if I walked away. I had to book my flight home in total secrecy because I practically never had five minutes of privacy around them. I've been back in the States for about three months now, but I just can't seem to shake this guy. He is relentless. He calls constantly, and even though I've blocked all his numbers and cut him off on social media, it feels like he just buys a new SIM card every single day just to reach me. I honestly don't know how to process any of this anymore. He occasionally comes out to the coast for vacation, and since he stays in the same city where I live, we ended up running into each other by chance in mid-August.🤦I was there with my group of friends, and he was there with some others, just staring us down with these intense, heated looks...🙂He kept stalking us like that, following our every move. He's a thirty-year-old man, and you’d think by that age, men would have reached some level of maturity or basic decency. When he finally left, he sent me these threatening messages saying he was going to ruin my life. Honestly, he acts like such a child, only to turn around and apologize the very next day... it's a constant cycle. I don't engage with him at all; like I mentioned, I just block every new number from Switzerland that tries to call me. I'm genuinely terrified of what he might do if we cross paths again while he's visiting for the summer. I want to report him, but I'm scared that if I do, he might lose his visa, which would mean he'd just stay here permanently and continue this behavior. I'm not sure what the legal standing is, especially since I don't have much physical evidence besides a massive backlog of abusive and threatening messages spanning the last six months. If we were living in a different kind of country, that might be enough to take action, but here, I feel like the police wouldn't even step in until things turned truly violent.
