I'm running into a bit of a nightmare with my PC lately... it feels like at least once a day I get hit with a Blue Screen of Death and the whole system just forces a restart. Once everything finally boots back up, I'm staring at this error message:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: Blue Screen of Death
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1050

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 3b
BCP1: 00000000C0000005
BCP2: FFFFF96000154283
BCP3: FFFFF8800C975060
BCP4: 0000000000000000
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1
Does anyone out there have any idea how to fix this...??

Go ahead and download WhoCrashed. Once you've got it installed, you'll see an option to run an analysis—just click that, and it should generate a log explaining why your computer restarted. If you want, go ahead and copy that log here so we can take a look together...

You might want to give it a shot by updating your graphics card drivers!!

So, I just finished getting WhoCrashed all set up, and this is what popped up on my screen right after the run:
Crash dump directory: C:\Windows\Minidump

It looks like crash dumps are currently turned on for my machine.

Back on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at 5:37:27 PM GMT, my computer hit a wall and crashed...
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\110614-13447-01.dmp
From what I can tell, the culprit seems to be this specific module: win32k.sys (win32k+0xC4283)
Bugcheck code: 0x3B (0xC0000005, 0xFFFFF96000154283, 0xFFFFF8800C975060, 0x0)
Error: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
file path: C:\Windows\system32\win32k.sys
product: Microsoft Corporation
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: Multi-User Win32 driver bug
Basically, the Bug check description says that some kind of exception went down while the system was trying to transition from non-privileged code to privileged code...
It really looks like your typical software driver glitch, so I don't think it's actually a hardware issue at all...
Since the crash happened inside a standard Microsoft module, it's possible my system configuration is just a bit wonky, or maybe there's some other driver lurking in the background that the system can't quite pin down yet...

Like I was mentioning before, your best bet is to go ahead and run an update for your graphics card drivers. That BCCode: 3b you're seeing is usually a classic sign of a hiccup with the video driver!

Did you happen to swap out any hardware lately, mess around with a BIOS update, try some overclocking, or maybe just install some fresh GPU drivers?
