Well, I must admit... I didn't expect to drift off to sleep with a smile on my face tonight... but then again...

Well, man, I’m often down on Broadway—both as a Bad Boy and a veteran—but I didn't make it today. Honestly, it’s probably for the best, since traffic would've been a nightmare.
That actually made me smile a bit... he hasn't changed one bit since I met him back in '89.
And maybe we should just leave the veterans alone, I guess. There are plenty of regular, down-to-earth folks there who don't really follow football at all. Anyone coming by to show support is welcome, really. Plus, there are some truly solid people and real veterans in the mix. I suppose I just reacted a little emotionally there.

You and your group aren't any more sincere with the fans. Stop acting like such a liberal elitist!

Honestly, reading this cheered me up a bit; he hasn't changed one bit since I first met him back in '89.
And seriously, just leave the veterans alone. There are just regular, salt-of-the-earth people there who don't follow football at all—they don't even get the hype. If someone shows up to support them, they're more than welcome. Plus, you've got some real-deal veterans and genuinely good souls in that crowd. Maybe I got a little too worked up there, my bad.
Exactly. Just let the veterans be. Some of them might not have a clue what "offside" even means—probably because they've got much bigger fish to fry in their lives—but I'll be forever grateful to them.

they do, though I suppose a disabled veteran in a wheelchair isn't going to understand when some war profiteer hands him a "sacred" jersey while basically yelling at him about how much harder his own life is...

Haha, talk about a complete turnaround! A few years back, the studios were filled with people who would have fought tooth and nail against everything this current crew is pushing. Everyone is up in arms against IBM, yet nobody seems able to actually do anything about it... outsiders are just watching from the sidelines while nothing changes. Honestly, I don't know whether to laugh or cry about it...
People just don't get it—this fight for Real Madrid and everything swirling around it is way, way bigger than just some stupid game of soccer...
We have to find a way to wake everyone up from this slump. Only massive, sweeping changes that overhaul the entire political landscape will actually fix this country. Once we finally get the government back on track, fixing things at Real Madrid will be a total breeze...
And if only people understood what happened over in Iceland...

Regarding how Perasović used to write columns for Feral—people are instantly suspicious because of that history. I don’t really get why we can't just accept that some people are naturally against any administration. They’ll criticize and tear down any politician, period. But now, suddenly, when it suits our interests to take aim at the establishment, it’s fine—but if they don't, they're branded as traitors or something.
It reminds me of that old saying about having to fight if you want to win. People who question every single government and every politician... honestly, they might actually be the true beacons of democracy.
Though, I guess we're still a long way off from real democracy. If regular folks realized that fighting against big corporations and corrupt sports leagues is basically the same thing as fighting for their own unpaid overtime, then maybe—just maybe—we'd be a little closer to what people call a true democracy.

I honestly don't get why we can't just accept that some people are simply inherently opposed to any administration in power. They'll criticize and crucify every politician under the sun. But now, suddenly, when he's hitting the government in a way that suits our interests, he's fine? And the moment he doesn't, he's labeled a traitor or a scumbag.
It’s just like that old saying from *The Godfather*—to fight, one must be prepared to fight. People who constantly scrutinize every single politician and every sitting administration... they are actually the true beacons of democracy.
And frankly, we are nowhere near a real democracy. If the average person realized that fighting against the corruption of the NFL and the league's bigwigs is the same thing as fighting for their own unpaid overtime, then democracy—as they say in the movies—would be a whole lot closer to reality.

Does anyone happen to have a link to that broadcast from last night? I seem to have missed it...

Has anyone from the banned list over in Indianapolis actually tried getting their hands on tickets for the big rivalry game?

Let’s just stop this nonsense. All these constant rebuttals to every single post? It only serves to validate the labels being slapped on us and reinforces those lazy generalizations about people who are just passing through this forum.
If we could survive years of pure vitriol, surely we can manage a civil conversation now. There are plenty of arguments to be made—plenty of ammunition. For once, the spotlight is actually on us and things might finally be shifting in the right direction. Let’s try to articulate that instead of fighting.
The trolling and flame wars will be deleted. You don't need to respond to every single post.

You think any of the die-hards would even bother? Those banned guys don't stand a chance...
Just call the team and ask.

Just pick a team and ask them directly.
My head is spinning from all this graveyard talk...
As if they wouldn't just toss me right back onto their watchlist by default.
