Formula 1 used to have actual fans...
now it’s just a bunch of kids whining about every little thing while some crazy old guy with a headband tries to stay relevant by catering to them with whatever nonsense pops into his head...

Every era has its own vibe. Honestly, even now, I can't wrap my head around why teams have to use the exact same color schemes. It makes zero sense to me.

And I'd bet anything that 99% of people just take it for granted.

Same deal here—you don't get it now, but in 20 years, people will be looking back thinking that was just how things were.

Time moves on and changes everything. Always has. Not just in Formula 1—just in general since humans first showed up.

Get it!?

Personally, I love this track. Something always goes sideways here, so I’m just crossing my fingers for an absolute banger of a race this time around. 🙂

It all starts with the drivers.
Nowadays, their biggest priority is crying over radio messages.
If even a tiny drop of rain hits the visor, they immediately start panicking to the pit wall about how the track is flooded, how the car is undrivable, and why on earth Charlie isn't throwing out an SC yet.

Speaking of the weekend, specifically the race—I'm looking at the forecast for the US Grand Prix. It's the usual unpredictable weather, high chance of rain.

And they're only calling for a max air temperature of 59 degrees.
So—expect plenty of graining... we might very well see a chaotic finish, similar to what happened in Canada.

Now the drivers think their top priority is whining about radio comms.
And if a single drop of rain happens to hit your visor, you better start screaming at them in that pathetic, desperate tone of yours. pitwallu The track is totally flooded, the car is basically unsteerable, and I’m still sitting here wondering what on earth Charlie is waiting for with the SC.

That’s exactly why I said years ago that some overrated driver basically killed F1. 😍
Honestly, whenever I think of Bem, my mind goes straight to screaming. But hey, can't really blame him for that one.
He saw that it worked for Charlie and his crew, so he played it incredibly smart. Real cunning move there.

Chilton is tearing it up at the US Grand Prix. Looks like the cash finally hit the bank right during the first free practice session. 😁

So, are we seriously saying Chilton is actually a better driver than Bordeaux or McNish?

No. He's just cheaper. 😁

It seems the issues with Kimijev's car have resurfaced yet again🙂

Even at a turn as demanding as Eau Rouge, drivers are still attempting to power through at full throttle, aren't they?

With rain in the forecast for tomorrow, we might just be looking at a rather unpredictable qualifying session.

Interesting.

Some people here are seriously out here claiming guys like Bourdeux and Meknish wouldn't even manage to complete a single lap in a Caterham.

But look at Chilton—he knocked out every single lap last season—minus one where he was basically an absolute beast.

Drivers are still flat out through Eau Rouge.

Looks like we might get some rain tomorrow—could make qualifying pretty interesting.

Scattered showers starting from 1:00 PM onwards.

Forecast looks exactly the same for Sunday, too.🙂

The plan for the US Grand Prix is looking cloudy but dry. It’s sitting at about 50 degrees, with the sun poking through the clouds here and there. Most likely, we won't see any rain during qualifying, or at least that's what I'm hoping for🙂.

@Jason Campbell70/">@@Jason Campbell70

All this whining about the potential rain really brings prost to mind 🙂

Like I said, it's going to happen. Graining. Still an issue? A total disaster.
Why bother with shovels when you could just bring in the excavators?

mellowtiger83 Asks:
All that whining about the rain... it reminds me so much of prost. 🙂

Prost knew better than to park right next to the track; he wasn't about to take that kind of risk.
There was always someone willing to take the risk.

So, FP3. The maestro and that Finnish fraud—identical times, down to the thousandth. Seriously?
During the first two practice sessions, the maestro routinely outclassed Shellov’s driver. Just a complete masterclass.
