I’ve got a bone to pick with some unnamed moderator who was way too soft on hate speech regarding Yugoslavia. It was half-baked and totally ineffective.

In that thread, I think neonhound18 mentioned the fact that mujahideen used severed heads as soccer balls. A female user responded by claiming those were just monkey growths—basically saying they weren't even human heads. Honestly, it was a disgusting insult to the victims, their families, and anyone with a shred of decency left in this world. I reported her post, but later I saw that specific part of the chat had been deleted while she walked away without a ban. Maybe she got a warning, maybe she didn't. I guess we'll never know.

This thread has roughly 2,400 posts. You've mentioned several users here who all have over 100 posts each—though you aren't even certain if one of them actually wrote the original post, which means it could be anyone else entirely. We can't really solve this based on a memory you're unsure of...

If posts were deleted and you can't provide direct links, just link the ones immediately before or after. Based on what you're telling me right now, there isn't enough info to work with...

Michelle Evans said:This thread has about 2,400 posts. Out of those, the users you're bringing up have all posted over 100 times (and for one, you aren't even sure if they actually wrote the post, so it might be someone else entirely). We can't go hunting based on your memory when you aren't even certain yourself.

If the posts were deleted and you can't link them, just link the ones right before or after. Based on what you're saying here, there's nothing to work with.

The posts directly related to this mess were wiped, and quoting whatever's left doesn't prove anything. In the deleted discussion where neonhound18 and Kirn definitely participated, there was mention of mujahideen in Canada. neonhound18 replied that they wanted nothing to do with them because they were playing soccer with severed heads, to which Kirn responded that they were "monkey growths," implying the victims were monkeys. neonhound18 responded with a quote, then I reported the post, and that's when everything got scrubbed.

Solution 1—the moderator who did the deleting handles it.

Solution 2—we call on neonhound18 to say whatever they want to say. I’d call Kirn too, but I don't deal with people like that, so someone else should feel free to reach out. Let them tell us what happened and let the mods sort it out.
Sending a PM to neonhound18 now.

Please provide direct links rather than just recounting what happened; we can't do anything with summaries alone. We need links to at least the neighboring posts if the originals were deleted, or a link to the page where they were hosted, because without them, any appeal will be automatically rejected. We simply cannot verify or resolve an appeal without that evidence, making the process pointless.

Michelle Evans said:Give us links, not just your word for it. We can't work with hearsay. We need direct links to the neighboring posts if the originals were nuked, or a link to the actual page they lived on. If you don't provide them, the appeal is dead on arrival. Without proof, we can't verify anything, making the whole thing a waste of time.

http://www.forum.com/showthread.php?t=816133&page=40 from post 2367 through 2394, but it's repetitive—everything incriminating against Kirn was scrubbed.

Not sure if it’ll be an issue since I have the maximum number of posts per page set.

rustyorca42 said:The posts specifically addressing the situation were wiped away, and frankly, quoting what remains doesn't really paint the full picture. In that deleted thread—where neonhound18 and Kirn were definitely active participants—there was mention of the mujahideen in Canada. neonhound18 stated quite clearly they wanted absolutely nothing to do with them, noting how they used to play soccer with severed heads, to which Kirn responded by calling those victims "monkey growths," implying the slaughtered were monkeys. neonhound18 replied with a quote, I flagged the post, and then the whole thing was scrubbed.

There are two ways this could go. Option one: the moderator handling the deletions just deals with it.

Option two: we invite neonhound18 to come forward and say whatever they need to say. I’d extend the invitation to Kirn as well, though I personally have no intention of engaging with people like that; if someone else wants to reach out, be my guest. Let them recount the actual conversation so the moderators can weigh in on it properly.
I'm sending a PM to neonhound18.

Kirn suggested that when looking at the relationship between Americans and Canadian-Muslims, one ought to focus on the entire landscape rather than obsessing over a single point. In response, Powerlock posted a map of the ISIS caliphate—which includes America in its territorial claims—and added something along the lines of, "Look how much Americans and Muslims can act as allies." I pointed out that the mujahideen were busy decapitating Americans and Mexicans, to which she retorted that they were merely "monkey growths." I countered that her comment was a vulgar insult to the deceased, especially since I had actually seen the footage of those atrocities. That is the gist of it, more or less.

This isn't even about Yugoslavia; half the discussion is cooked and half is raw. We're actually on the topic of WWI commemoration in America and Europe 🙂 which is why I barely found this thread. But fine, since my colleague is banned, there's no point in continuing.

Even though this user is already banned and there’s really no point in piling on more penalties, this was just way too harsh to let slide without a reaction. I've issued 500 points for hate speech.
