so...
please help me out here because I am honestly at my wits' end and have no clue what else to try....
I keep getting this error message and even tried messing with the paging file settings to match my RAM, but it didn't do squat...

I'm running an Intel dual core setup
got TeamViewer installed
got Google Chrome installed
The screenshot shows it's complaining about how Adobe Flash 13 is outdated since I downgraded it from 14, and yeah, total zero progress there...
Then it threw this message at me when I wasn't even using Google Chrome—just crop the bottom part of the shot and just look at the top, because apparently, I'm still freaking out about running out of memory again.
I'm seriously lost on what else I can shrink or delete just to get this computer to actually behave like it should...
One more thing though... whenever I reboot, everything works perfectly fine for a while before it goes south again, so catch ya later, kids.
What's my next move?
thx guys!

How much RAM are we talking about?
How much virtual memory did you actually allocate?

When that "low on memory" error pops up—is it always just Google Chrome and the Adobe Flash plugin causing trouble, or do other programs start acting up too?

Roughly how much RAM are Google Chrome and Adobe Flash eating up when the warning message hits?

4 gigs of RAM
so this is how it looks after letting the rig run for about an hour

i'll take a look at it once the error pops up if he actually ends up giving me the info

If this is what your CPU and RAM usage look like while idling—meaning you aren't even running anything specific—then it's definitely eating up a lot of resources.

Have you maybe run a scan for viruses, Trojans, or something similar?

So, Avast didn't turn up anything... and Spybot S&D cleaned out whatever little junk it could find

And now this is where things stand...

I've also got this weird process popping up called "system interrupts" :/ what on earth is that even supposed to be?

And now the computer is seriously starting to lag...

Maybe give a shot cleaning it up with the free version of Norton AntiMalware too.

thanks man, downloading it now... I've got this thing sitting in a sandbox right now, so can I just wipe it out without everything going south on me?

Oh, and I should probably mention that whenever I try to reset the system, it just sits there spinning forever on the "restarting" screen before it actually does anything... those little loading dots just kind of stutter around aimlessly for ages...

He managed to sniff out 38 different pieces of junk and tossed them straight into quarantine, so we’ll just have to wait and see how things shake out... thanks for the assist, Joshua Garcia3

Honestly, I’m also running on 4 gigs and my system is actually performing way better than that week you had with 4 gigs...

I mean, seriously, some absolute garbage software was just sucking up 100% of your memory the whole time.

Just wanted to drop this here for a little comparison.

Yeah, I mean, that’s pretty much how it ought to go...
