I noticed those alerts warning people about fake account numbers being scraped from sites like "Relief for flood victims in USA" (or whatever they're calling them)... basically, those specific accounts listed at the bottom of this thread are supposedly fraudulent, so maybe it’d be smart to tweak that notice and just list the official bank info for the Red Cross, Caritas, or similar legit groups. Of course, if I'm right, we really ought to double-check everything online so we aren't handing money to thieves instead of actually helping the people hit by the floods.
Also, can you guys add a note saying that clothes, blankets, and anything else anyone wants to donate is being collected over at the Department of Health and Human Services downtown? They’ll be hauling everything out to the Midwest as things get gathered up.
