As the title suggests, I’m struggling with a chronically pale complexion. I always look exhausted, washed out, and generally unhealthy. The dark circles under my eyes are permanent; it doesn't matter if I get 3, 8, or 15 hours of sleep, they're just there. The only time I feel decent without makeup is during the summer when I manage to get a tan, but that’s a temporary fix 😢 My blood work comes back perfect—iron levels are fine, and I get regular checkups, so it isn't anemia or anything like that. I get plenty of sleep, especially when I don't have responsibilities. When I wear makeup, everything looks fine, but whenever I show up bare-faced, people constantly ask why I look so tired or if I got enough rest. And I'll tell you, I slept for 10 hours that night 😢 Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be? Exercise isn't the problem; I hit the gym 3 to 4 times a week and walk about 1.9 miles every day. I'm getting desperate and I've run out of options. I can't rely on heavy makeup constantly; it’s bad for my skin and prevents it from breathing. Are there any medical supplements or treatments that could actually bring some color back to my face?
Please help me out with some advice. I'm at my wits' end 😢

If you just layer
1. a tiny bit of concealer under the eyes,
2. some blush on the cheekbones, and
3. a quick swipe of mascara—your skin basically just does its own thing, but you look like a whole different person.

I actually found this PDF from Sephora that breaks down which products are comedogenic (you know, the stuff that clogs your pores) and what’s safe. Honestly, a light daytime look doesn't even need foundation. Just make sure you wash your face before hitting the hay and you're golden.

Stay healthy and keep that flawless complexion going 👍

When it comes to cosmetic procedures and fixing those dark circles under your eyes, here is a pretty solid breakdown of how it all works...

Honestly, I'm way too young to be considering procedures like that, and besides, they aren't exactly cheap. I think I'll just head down to the local CVS to ask for some advice 🤷

You mentioned you're young, healthy, no anemia, bloodwork looks perfect, living the dream—so what exactly needs fixing here? Like... is it the lack of color in your skin? Do you flush when you work out, or if it gets hot, or maybe after a glass of wine? Honestly, tons of people have super pale skin, it’s just a thing, not some medical emergency.

And you saw my first post, right? Using a little bit of makeup—and I mean not caking your entire face in heavy foundation—isn't going to wreck your skin, even long-term, as long as you're using stuff that actually works for your skin type and you wash it off regularly.

Eye creams might help a tiny bit with hydration or those under-eye bags if they're actually an issue (not sure if they are), but the key word there is "tiny." If you were dealing with water retention from kidney issues or something, you wouldn't be claiming to be perfectly healthy, would you?

The page about dark circles even goes into all the different causes too, it's not just talking about getting surgery.
