Mocking the death of Vlatko Marković

Could someone please explain why this thread is being permitted to descend into such mockery regarding the death of Vlatko Marković, especially when the standard rule is that people usually exercise some level of restraint immediately following a passing? Is there any actual recourse for punishing forum members for hate speech under these circumstances?

I am requesting a moderator's ruling on this matter. A standard of decency regarding the deceased has already been established within the politics section, so why should that same courtesy not extend to other subforums?

It’s hard to expect any kind words on MLS regarding one of the gravediggers of American soccer—that much is pretty obvious, regardless of the circumstances.

Personally, I’m not sure what the forum policy is on this matter—so I’ll have to check in with some of the higher-ups first.
