Most of the absolute mess we deal with here on Reddit isn't even the fault of the admins—whether you mean the ones running the show or the technical crew. 😢

If I read that right, it says IE 5.5... how old is that fossil even?
No wonder it’s acting up. HTML has rolled out new standards and tons of new tags at least three times since then. You shouldn't be seeing these issues on Internet Explorer 9,10, though I wouldn't bet my life on it since we're talking about Internet Explorer 🤣... worth a shot though 🤷

Come on, there's no need to call Brian Edwards78 a fossil.

BTW, he was clearly being sarcastic when he brought up 5.5 🙂.

I figured it out later... though I honestly don't get why anyone actually uses IE on a daily basis? The only reason I even have it is for some specific Microsoft services that demand it. Everything else goes through Google's Chrome🤷
IE is just limited, buggy, and frankly, pretty crappy

Honestly, I just don't get why anyone would even bother with Chrome when the last three versions of Internet Explorer aren't some slow, bloated piece of junk. :math_baby:

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say I’ll believe you once you actually provide a credible link to back up those claims—just so we can see if you're being serious or if you're just one of those people who "hates on Microsoft just to look cool in class."

Speaking from experience here. I don't usually bash Microsoft products—I actually use a ton of their stuff, like Windows, Visual Studio, C# (.NET)... nothing to complain about there. But IE? Compared to the competition, it's stuck in the Netscape era. From a dev standpoint, security, or even just basic UX... it's just bad. 🤷

Fantastic—in that case, I certainly expect you to provide some concrete examples to back up every single one of those claims of yours.

take this

or maybe this

and then there's that whole obsession with adware and malware... hope that's enough for our "distinguished" gentleman here? 🤷

I’m asking for credible sources, and you respond with "well, I'm speaking from experience."

I am looking for actual, tangible experiences here, yet all you give me are links.

Honestly, I think you're just messing with me.

Nicholas King said:I’m asking for legit links, and you're hitting me with "trust me, I know."

I want actual facts, and you're just tossing links at me.

Pretty sure you're just messing with me.

if you don't think these links are legit, then why don't you point me toward some sites you actually trust regarding this stuff... these seem fine to me 🙂
hard to say from experience since I haven't used it for most things in five years, but that doesn't stop me from hating it every time I have to open it 🙂
go ahead, show me which sites you actually believe, and I'll find the proof 🤷

edit: if you think I'm screwing with you... keep thinking that. Doesn't bother me one bit.

I think you might've messed up the PDF regarding that whole debate about which browser is actually the best and most secure one out there.

Like I said before, you can check all the red cards on your profile under the Violations tab. If they aren't showing up for some reason, maybe try switching to a different browser or something.
