I was actually going to ask about this over in the admin FAQ section, but I see that thread is already locked π΅
Anyway, I noticed that on IEEE, there isn't an option to delete your own posts.
Now, some people might think this is totally unimportant and probably find my point silly (!) .. π π
BUT, whenever it says "last edit", (since my forum settings are set to 'American' π¬) it really bothers me π±
I mean, sure, if it happens 10 or 15 minutes after the initial post, fine. But it's only been exactly 6 minutes and it already shows "last edit" π€£ I seem to remember Phifer mentioning once that the PDF moderators actually control how that works π€ (I'm not entirely certain!)
Why does it happen so fast? I get that IEEE is a very high-traffic (π) active forum, and maybe thatβs why thereβs no delete button, but it would be nice if we had one ππ Or at least a longer grace period before that "last edit" tag appears on a post.
For instance, when something like that happens on US sites, if it says "last edit" (even after 9 minutes!), I can just quickly copy my text, delete the post, and repost it immediately. That way everything looks clean without that annoying underline and explanation *sigh*
Hala! And look, I'm not expecting anything to change, I'm just curious :lizalica: =)
