^Was that yellow card deserved? Honestly, what kind of question is that?
Anyway, getting back to the main point... I’m bracing myself for a rough race from Ferrari. This track looks even more punishing than Canada was, and I don't think extra temperature is going to save them.
Mercedes will probably take pole. As for Red Bull, I doubt they'll grab the top spot, but they should be a real threat once the race actually gets underway.

Mercedes will probably grab pole. Red Bull? Doubtful they take pole, but they should be strong during the race.
I'm actually expecting a great race from Ferrari.
Hoping for a P1 or P2 start.

Hoping for a front row start—maybe P1 or P2.
man, you high or something?

A stellar way to kick things off. 🙂
Not a single word written, just a handful of random photos instead.
There’s a clear trend lately toward increasingly mindless and useless thread openings... and this one just set the bar incredibly high.
Predictions for the race? Nothing yet. Still waiting on a tip from an insider.

I’m actually going to pivot my prediction here... I'm calling a Mercedes 1-2 for both qualifying and the race.
With this change, even my tiniest little worries about those potential Mercedes rear tire overheating issues aren't just gone—they're sunk. We're talking deep-sea level, tied to a cannonball at a thousand meters down.

At this point, we’re all just sitting here hoping some sharpshooter manages to pop at least five tires.☕

If we aren't getting any rain, I'm at least hoping for some decent heat so my Lotus (and Ferrari) can finally show up 🙏

What exactly is your plan there, Ferrari? ☕
#13 ·
They're being way gentler on the tires... the warmer weather suits them... not that I'm exactly celebrating, but hey, it is what it is 😬

Basically zero actual content here, just a bunch of random, pointless photos.
The trend lately is just people opening threads that get stupider and more useless by the day... though I guess this one actually sets the bar pretty high.
Race predictions? Nothing yet, still waiting on my insider tip.
I was gonna try and start a thread for the Canadian GP, but between dealing with the EU bureaucracy and working a soul-crushing 6-to-6 shift, I barely have time to even glance at a computer.

I wouldn't mind seeing that top forecast play out... but honestly, even God only knows how those new tires are going to hold up.
Ferrari should have had the upper hand at Silverstone, but we all saw how that actually played out.😁

You've always been a gentleman. 🙂

Ferrari should have had the upper hand at Silverstone, yet we all saw how that unfolded.😁
You’ve always been a class act. 🙂
Furthermore, the Ferrari car itself is an absolute headache; I've voiced my frustrations before, but I feel compelled to repeat them seeing how people are celebrating this warm weather just because it favors Ferrari.
I am still struggling to comprehend who exactly designed the Ferrari, given that the moment a single cloud appears, they fall behind the competition by half a second.
Ferrari functions essentially as a weather station; they perform when the sun is out, but when it rains, it's probably for the best if they aren't even on the track (though last year, everything was quite the opposite). 🤣

Which chicane is being used for F1? I’m talking about the one right before the start-finish line. It basically has two different layouts, but I can't quite recall if they're running the first version or the second... probably the second one, though... hm 🤔

Ferrari showed up with two different versions of the Williams aero package and a Monkey Seat.
That Monkey Seat isn't exactly great news; based on what I've seen before, they usually reach for that when they realize they're struggling with handling and stability.
They’ve actually reverted back to the spec used in Barcelona, which isn't a great sign either. It feels like car development has hit a wall. I can already see Stefano having to step in again to play peacemaker and tell everyone how to get things done, but honestly, they've been at this for four years now and still haven't put together a car capable of winning races back-to-back.
I'm really looking forward to the FP's and qualifying to see how they manage in Sector 1.
Right now, the Ferrari looks sluggish through the slow corners, almost like it's lost its agility.

A Monkey Seat isn't exactly great news. Experience tells us they reach for that when they know they're lacking downforce.
They've reverted the Williams back to the Barcelona spec, which isn't a great sign either. Development seems stuck. Stefano will likely step in again to calm things down and lecture everyone on the right way to work, but honestly? They've been at this for four years now and still can't put together a car capable of winning consecutive races.
I'm anxious to see how they handle Sector 1 during the FP's and qualifying.

And that old rear wing. 😁
If we base our predictions solely on what we saw this Thursday—we aren't looking good.
But I'll say it again: this is just Thursday. During the last VN weekend, we didn't even have half the floor on the car by Thursday. 😁
By the way, did you catch the new Mečkin nose? 🍿
Looks like not everyone spent the last three days idling around.
Here are some shots from AMuS:

Right, what's the schedule looking like for the free practice sessions?
What time are they starting on Friday?
