For years now, I've had this skin peeling under my right armpit, right underneath the hair. It's shaped like a little circle, but everything looks totally fine under my left arm

Any bright ideas on what this could be? Thanks

-Could be a fungal thing?
- Or just local irritation from your deodorant? I see people do this all the time where they spray their aerosol deodorant way too close to the skin, and that blast of propellant causes this little patch of irritation. Then, because you keep applying the same stuff to the spot, it never heals, and eventually, a fungus loves to move into that warm, damp, damaged tissue.
- Honestly, a dermatologist could figure this out in about ten seconds.

Go see your primary care doctor and have them suggest trying an over-the-counter antifungal cream, like Lotrimin, for maybe ten days or so.
If that doesn't clear things up, they'll probably run some actual tests to narrow down the diagnosis.

Then you keep applying it, making it worse, and suddenly you've got a warm, damp spot that’s basically an open invitation for a fungal infection to move in.
- A dermatologist can figure this out in a heartbeat.

Just hit up your doctor and have them note if you've been using any over-the-counter antimycotics (like Clotrimazole or Canesten cream) for about 10 days.
If things don't clear up, they'll move on to more serious diagnostic testing.

thanks man
