Who locked the topic about Valter Flego, and what was their reasoning?

Looks like they tried to fix the mistake—after my complaint, the thread isn't locked anymore, just moved over to the general Orange County discussion. So, let me rephrase my question: Why is it that Valter Flego—who’s actually the frontrunner according to the latest polls—isn't allowed his own dedicated thread, while Bruno Nefat and Ana Kolić Marković get their own space despite running for the exact same office in the same county? It's not just them, either; Kerum, Ferdelji, Grubišić, Mađerić, Puljak... they all have individual threads. Even Marko Francišković gets one, and this guy is out here promising to "introduce the death penalty to punish the traitors Mesić, Josipović, Kosor, Sanader, and Milanović."

I don't want to overstep by meddling in this specific situation—that’s for the moderators to explain—but since we're already discussing it, I want to point out that this is exactly the issue I was highlighting earlier here:

Looking at things now, it seems nothing has actually been fixed. For instance, the topic about Valter Flego was just merged into the Orange County thread, yet plenty of other candidates still have their own dedicated discussions.
So, I'm bringing this up again because I really think this inconsistency needs to be addressed.

It looks like the moderators decided to "solve" this issue by staying silent—just ignoring it and hoping it disappears on its own. I guess that’s how they handle things when there aren't any actual explanations for their moves. This thread has been sitting here open for four days now, and not one of the eight mods from the politics/elections subforum has bothered to show up. So, I’m calling on the admins to step in and address my question: Why is the topic about Valter Flego being blocked from having its own dedicated thread while plenty of other candidates enjoy that privilege?

Meanwhile, Bruno Nefat and Ana Kolić Marković, who are running for the same office in the same county, get their own separate discussions. On top of them, you’ve got people like Kerum, Ferdelji, Grubišić, Mađerić, and even Pulpulak having their own threads... hell, even Marko Francišković gets his own space, even though he's out there promising to "introduce the death penalty to punish the traitors Mesić, Josipović, Kosor, Sanader, and Milanović"!

The reason I merged your discussion into the main one is because you originally kicked it off as a general Orange County election thread when you started talking about the dynamic between Kajin and Flego.
Basically, you opened up a debate that covered the exact same ground as the thread it was attached to.

If you want a conversation focused strictly on Flego, you just need to start the thread with that specific focus in mind.

Sam Green73 said:I merged your thread into the general one because you started this as a broad discussion about the Istria County elections by bringing up the Kajin vs. Flego dynamic.
Basically, you kicked off a debate that covers the exact same ground as the thread it’s now attached to.

If you want a thread strictly about Flego, you need to frame it that way from the jump.

Funny how you didn't seem to care about this "rule" before when it came to other candidates who had their own dedicated threads. In several cases, people mentioned opposing candidates or parties right in the opening post—and those discussions naturally evolved to include everyone else anyway. To top it off, all those threads stayed up, while the one about Valter Flego was nuked instantly without even lasting a few days. So, I just reopened it—hopefully, this version meets your incredibly high standards for what counts as an acceptable discussion regarding certain candidates.
