What the hell are you all even talking about? 😲
Giving up???
Look, I’m asking you to show at least a shred of respect here and not just forget about everyone who’s been dealing with bans, massive fines, and all that nonsense over the last few years—not to mention our friends who are actually sitting in a federal penitentiary right now... 🙂🙂 🙂
WE ARE NOT BACKING DOWN!!!

I’m telling you, we need to stop buying into the illusions being peddled year after year. These pseudo-leftist or pseudo-rightist politicians—who spend their entire careers cozying up to criminals in private clubs—aren't going to change a single thing about how they handle those thugs unless they are forced to by sheer public pressure.
What we actually need is a local referendum. We need questions that are legally airtight and strategically designed to tackle the current mob bosses and prevent a whole new crop of similar kingpins from stepping into their shoes. This needs to be legally binding for our institutions. If we timed this right—say, during the elections for the next batch of bureaucrats heading off to that overpriced, sidelined theater known as the European Parliament back in May 2014—we could keep the costs of running the referendum to an absolute minimum.
Look, if people can muster enough energy to collect signatures for marginal nonsense like symbolic script disputes or marriage laws—those hazy distractions used to divert attention from the desperate state of the country—while dedicated fans from groups like the Bad Boys are getting crushed by the weight of the law, then we have a problem. That massive amount of energy and those people should be channeled into constructive volunteering. They should be focusing on signature drives and marketing for a real referendum, especially now that those entrenched figures in our cities have hit rock bottom in terms of popularity.

God forbid, I don't think so, never... I mean, we have to keep fighting any way we can, but I guess you shouldn't get too high hopes about him actually leaving, unless he's dead and gone.

I honestly think the absolute worst part about the end of the Mamić era at Dinamo is going to be how he pulls the rug out from under us. The guy has already dropped hints about some kind of club restructuring—it’s probably all happening behind closed doors right now. He’ll call in his hand-picked crowd for a private assembly to push it through, and then suddenly, out of nowhere, there will be this "official" data showing he lent the club massive amounts of cash over the years. Then, using those fake debts as leverage, he gets to swap them for shares and walk away owning the whole thing outright. It’s the ultimate play: he screws over the government, ignores the fans, and ends up as the 100% owner. Maybe I’m being too cynical here—really, maybe—but ever since I heard rumors about a total takeover being discussed at that last meeting, I haven't been able to shake the feeling. Once he pulls that off, we're basically just waiting for nature to take its course...

We should set up a local referendum with actual legal teeth—questions designed to wipe out the current mob boss and prevent his cronies from sliding right into his seat. It needs to be legally binding for our institutions. If we time it during the next election for those bureaucrats over at the U.S. Congress in May 2014, we could keep the costs down.
Instead of wasting energy collecting signatures for nonsense like cultural identity debates or marriage laws used as distractions from how broken this country is—while guys in the fan clubs get tossed around by the law—we should put that energy into organized volunteering. We need a massive grassroots campaign for a referendum while these local bigwigs are hitting rock bottom in popularity.

Yeah, sure. I agree. Just go ahead and start it then. It’s easy to say "we should" when you aren't doing anything.

They've got video from seven different angles, but they don't even need that. All they need is a "witness," and finding a witness isn't hard when you've seen how things work firsthand a few times...

If they actually had proof, why would they even bother offering a lighter sentence? I don't know, maybe the legal system in St. Louis handles things differently than in Chicago. 🤷

Come on, people. The fight to reclaim the Dinamo name dragged on for ten years, yet this current legal battle has formally only been going on for three. Plenty of much bigger players have fallen when taking on war profiteers; don't you worry, his end will come too. Just arm yourselves with some patience and things will turn out fine.

Jesse Campbell said:Look, I’m with you. Just get it moving. It’s always easiest to say "we should do this."

What do you mean, "get it moving"? It’s pretty obvious that a single person can't just pull this off. You need someone with the actual capacity, the existing organizational structure, and—most importantly—the sheer motivation and interest to see the whole thing through if there's any actual will to do it. To just handle the signature collection alone, you need an entire infrastructure. You need people, coordinators to manage those people, shifts, and everything else. Then there's the money: paper, supplies, other overhead, plus whatever advertising we need beyond just social media, so donations are going to be essential.
A supporter group, a fan association, ZZD, club members, or similar outfits already have the hierarchy, the manpower, and the ability to actually execute an operation like this.

In Chicago, there are 686,646 registered voters. Under current laws, we'd need to collect just under 138,000 signatures. That shouldn't be an impossible mountain to climb, given how universally disliked this corrupt individual and everything he stands for is. Of course, that assumes we have a solid network of signing locations, access to the public, and questions that are clearly phrased and legally sound. It’s also vital that the referendum is scheduled alongside some other election. We don't want the cost of a standalone referendum—or the headache of holding yet another expensive vote—to be the reason people refuse to sign. Plus, it helps with voter turnout. Honestly, I’d even include the date of the referendum as one of the questions during the signing process itself.

I’m not writing this to pass the buck or dodge responsibility. This is about presenting a simple, functional way to efficiently and quickly resolve the issues and power dynamics within the club. It’s becoming painfully clear that the government and local authorities are doing everything in their power to protect the criminal elements in this organization rather than rooting them out and removing those responsible.

And let’s not forget: simply having a plan to call a referendum and starting the initial momentum acts as massive pressure on those in charge. It might actually force them to change things before they're forced to.

Fan groups, supporters' associations, ZZD, club members, and similar organizations already possess the hierarchy, the manpower, and the logistical capability to execute such an operation.

In Chicago, there are 686,646 registered voters. Under current laws, we would need to gather slightly less than 138,000 signatures. That shouldn't be an issue given how widely unpopular this corrupt figure and everything he stands for truly is—provided we have a well-distributed network of signing locations, direct access to citizens, and legally sound questions. It is vital that the referendum is scheduled alongside an election. We can't let the cost of a standalone referendum or the headache of extra voting become excuses for people to withhold their signatures. Plus, tying it to an election boosts turnout. I might even suggest making the timing of the referendum one of the questions during the signature collection itself.

What I am writing isn't a debate about shifting blame or passing the buck. This is a simple, functional mechanism to resolve the club's issues efficiently and legally. It is becoming increasingly clear that the government and local authorities are doing everything they can to protect the criminal elements within the club rather than rooting them out.

We also shouldn't forget that simply planning a referendum and starting the initial movement creates significant pressure on those in charge. It might actually force them to change things.

If you announced in every newspaper and on every news site that you’d give every Chicagoan $3.25 if they showed up at the plaza tomorrow, you still wouldn't get 138,000 people. It would be nice if it were different, but I don't know what magic trick would convince 138,000 people to sign for a referendum about something that isn't even that critical—I'm talking about a collective matter, not an existential crisis...

The sooner we accept this reality, the easier it'll be.

What exactly are we supposed to reconcile with? That some idiot is destroying our club and everything we hold sacred? That the police treat us fans like cattle just because some arrogant jerk gave the order? Or that our guys—our brothers in the stands—are sitting in jail for nothing? Just because they're standing up for their own and fighting against the guy tearing them down? Are we supposed to just accept that those kids will spend Christmas behind bars, regardless of whether they're guilty or innocent? Think about their parents. What kind of Christmas is it for a parent when their child is locked away?... while all those arrogant types are out somewhere overindulging and celebrating, maybe even buying a few new shirts, while his cronies live it up during the holidays.
Giving up isn't even an option for me. I'd rather go down swinging than fold like a coward and give him the satisfaction of waking up, looking in the mirror, and saying, "Yeah, I gave in." Well, you wish, you thief.
To the very last man, and everyone who comes after!

We won't even need some "last man standing" moment. Zdravko's clock is ticking at Dinamo because he’s out there stealing, breaking laws, laundering cash, lying—basically, the guy is a total piece of work. Every crooked deal eventually hits a dead end.

We should organize a local referendum with legally sound, well-crafted questions aimed at dismantling the current mafia influence and preventing similar cronyism from taking root afterward. This would be legally binding for our institutions. Ideally, this could coincide with the elections for the next batch of bureaucrats in that overpriced, marginalized theater known as the European Parliament scheduled for May 2014, just to keep the referendum costs to an absolute minimum.

If you consider things like script styles or marriage laws to be marginal nonsense, then you’ve essentially turned Dinamo itself into a vague distraction and a triviality. Everyone claims to want democracy, yet they spit on legitimate democratic processes whenever it doesn't serve their specific interests. A referendum on anything? Absolutely. Since we don't have a government that actually breathes with the people. I wouldn't mind "wasting" 15 minutes on any given Sunday to circle something on a ballot that actually relates to me and carries weight. Your proposal for a local referendum is solid. It would be the best 15 minutes I've ever spent.
